Not on your list but IMO Trinity Stage 5 is one of the best on the market. Not stupid loud, nice deep tone, and probably the best sounding overall.

 

I’ve looked into it was worried about replacing the packing constantly how long are you going before you change yours? Also heard the coating seems to crack off on some any issues there?

 

The Trinity Stage 5 definitely has the best sound in my opinion.

I had the GGB trail muffler on my XP1000 and then one on my Turbo S. On the XP1000 it blew the spark arrestor out in no time. On the Turbo S it ended up blowing all the baffling out completely. So not great experiences on my end.

I ended up just gutting the cat out of the stock exhaust and have been running that for over a year and a half. Still has a good sound without being too loud. It's good enough where right now I can't justify spending the cost on a Trinity system.

 

I just picked up an AA slip on. Havent installed yet but looks sweet, suppose to have a nice deep tone and you can adjust the sound level by blocking off one of the outlets with an optional plug

Another vote for the trinity stage 5. I like the look and sound of it. Not obnoxiously loud like some of the others.

 

Good to know! I like that….you recommend the slip on or full system? From trinity.

 

i could be wrong but i believe that with a full system you need to re tune. if you look at a full system make sure to ask that question.

Here's my one complaint with the trinity. Paint is peeling on those trinity plates on the mufflers. I'll probably just remove the rest of it and leave it. Mines about 7 months old and not sure if that's a common thing or just me.

 

It is, a riding buddy has the exact same issue.

 

I’ve read on a few over threads where the paint/coating is peeling In spots. I’d just take them off repaint then in hi heat black paint.But thanks for the heads up I’m sure it will get scratches and dings possibly when riding….my guy said $840 shipped for the all black and stainless y pipe

 

PM @craigstumph Pro UTV he is a forum vendor and offers good pricing. You don't need a tune for the exhaust. You will see a greater benefit of a tune with a good exhaust but it's not required.

Does anyone make a exhaust the is actually quieter than stock? Also how much louder is stock exhaust after taking out the cat?

 

From everything I've read, there is no noticable increase in sound with cat removed

 

Mine has the cat out I never heard it stock but compared to my cousins turbo s it may be a couple DB louder wide open.

 

I just installed a Gibson single outlet on my 21 XP4 1000 (NOT Turbo)
Sounds great, little louder, not bad.
I chose it because it looks stock, only no packing (uses baffles) and no CAT. I also got the header ceramic coated.

Yeah not looking for anymore HP just wanted to know/understand the benefits of an exhaust modification/aftermarket. I really like the sound of it stock and more power is not anything I’m looking for it’s a family ride!

 

Along with everything the rest said about HP, weight, better heat dissipation, etc, a better flowing exhaust improves throttle response. I only have 1 ride so far but it's noticeable.

Got the stage 5 on. Sounds almost the same as stock with gutted cat.slightly deeper. Definitely looks better.

 

Dumb questions but started the rzr with the muffler let it run for a little bit gave it a couple revs to hear it. went down the road and back let it cool down and shut the engine off. Smokes coming out of the tail pipe after it’s off I’m guessing it’s just the packing and all heating up and burning off?

 

Not a dumb question. I am sure you've already figured this out too, but for anyone else googling this after it happens to you.... The smoking is normal, it will stop after a few heat cycles. If you used any PB blaster, make sure you clean it off really good.
