I've posted this before. And have searched but my xp gets so hot it's miserable to ride in.. Was looking at bikemans ceramic coated header. Was wandering if this wood fix the extreme cab heat. Or someone else have a good fix

The place i notice the heat from the most is the shifter and under the seats. UTV inc makes an under seat block off that i have and like, i also added foam rubber weather strip to the edge of the floor pan plastic at the front edge of the seat. As for the shifter, i haven't addressed that problem yet on my xp900. I'm probably going to use two pieces of rubber under the shifter cover that slightly overlap and use some adhesive to stick them to the plastic cover to help reduce the draft. I notice the heat most when the fan kicks on on my machine, it seems like it blows heat from the radiator down into the skid plate and up from those openings.

If yours is like mine, the heat you are most likely feeling is from the coolant hoses that run through the shifter tunnel. In the summer months if I'm just putting around I have to remove my doors to keep it cool, or just take off my short windshield and everything is fine! Part of those lines are hose, part is tubing. Go get some ac line insulation from home depot, and cover it .

Don't know if the 900s is the same. The hot air from the radiator flows down the center console and heats your drinks too! I removed the console and filled it with the spray foam insulation. When it cured I carved it out to allow flow but insulate the console. It helps keep the drinks cooler and reduces some of the heat. Not perfect but helps. The majority of the heat now comes from behind the seats.

I plan on putting in an access door to check the oil then I'm going to get rid of the rubber boot around the seat belts and put a flat piece of LEXAN in it's place. I'll screw it or down or tape it with Gorilla tape. most of the heat I get comes in there or under the gap at the back of the shift counsel. That's easy to plug with a bit of 1x2 about ten inches long and some more tape. At that point if it's still too hot I'll buy the block off for under the seats. In order to get the whole inspection cover off (the plastic factory part) I'll have to remove the LEXAN and possibly the center seat belts but that rubber boot never stays in place and when it come loose it"s like a blast furnace. The air blows up through there even when I'm standing still.

I am glad that it worked for you- with the fuel tank under the passenger seat/ and the battery tray under the driver - blocking alot of the heat already, we did not see / feel a significant difference-

The seat belt slots & behind the occupants/ is where there is alot of heat translating to make it uncomfortable. :)
