Frame differences on '19 XP4 "base" Turbo vs. XP4 Turbo S?

Obviously the Turbo S has the "long travel" suspension and a 72" stance, 32" tires on different wheels, Live Valve Fox Shocks, Ride Command, and LED "fangs", different ROPS (cage), but what else is different?

  • Is the "lower" portion of the frame actually different?
  • Is the S front diff different than the "base" turbo?
  • Are the motor, trans, clutch and front driveshaft themselves the same on any Turbo?

The heart of my question is that I'm looking to pick up a '19 XP4 Turbo of some sort soon and do a bit of a "build." I'm debating between a Turbo S, or just getting a "base" Turbo and putting an HCR Long Travel on it. The latter option comes in slightly more expensive, especially when you consider you're not getting the Ride Command. Still, the quality and ride of the HCR setup is far superior to the factory Turbo S. But what else would I be missing? I'd be doing cage, wheels/tires, and all that stuff on either one - so I'm not really worried about differences there. But are there other meaningful structural or mechanical improvements in the S?

Thanks,
TJ

As far as frame width I Believe they are the same. Engine and transmission are the same. Front diff is much much improved over the xpt, I have heard the drive shaft was different between xpt and s but I have not confirmed. Brakes are the same, pretty much all body is the same now, 2019 to 2019 both now look identical. So in a turbo s dynamix u get this stuff over a xpt4 dynamix

Lower doors, roof, sparco wheel,
harnesses, 32s, 15" wheels, big front diff, arched lower radius rods, drive shaft( not confirmed), all different suspension (a arms, trailing arms, radius rods), longer axles with regular xpt cv. 2020 models had upgraded belt case, 25% more power steering assist as well as they changed the throttle map for more response.

Both xpt and s have the same power and same gears in the transmission. One thing to note is the xpt4 and xp4s have a lower low range compared to the 2 seat models

As cheap as some large volume dealership are selling the s 4 seaters it's only few grand difference. My opinion go with the s hands down.
