Fluids in the diffs and tranny

Has anyone had any good/bad experiences to share about the front/rear diffs or the tranny? I have just over 200 miles and plan to change them with the Polaris oils in a few days. I just wanted to get your opinions on when the next one should be. Has anyone done the initial change and found a lot of metal shavings?

When you put the transfer case drain plug, transfer case check plug, tranny drain plug, and rear differential drain plugs back in, DO NOT over-tighten these. It says in the manual 30-45 INCH pounds.

I have found getting these just hand tight is good enough. In places you can't get your hands into, use one of those little thumb ratchets.

And if you find small pieces of rubber gasket in the transfer case fluid, don't be alarmed at that. I was told that Polaris goes over the top with the sealant in the insides of these and the excess eventually breaks loose.

There is (1) fill plug and (1) drain plug for the transmission. (The fill plug is the check plug on this)

There is (1) fill plug, (1) drain plug *AND* (1) check plug for the transfer case. (The fill plug IS NOT the check plug on this)

This is the easist way to fill up:

Use exactly 24 oz of Polaris AGL 2873602 in the transmission.

Use exactly 14 oz of Polaris AGL 2873602 fluid in the transfer case.

You can use Amsoil too..
What grades?

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this question, and I'll probably get blisters on my ass for asking it, but...

Can I top off the factory fluids with the Amsoil / Mobil 1 equivalents, or do I need to drain off the factory stuff before filling up with the other?

My main gearcase is a bit low, and I didn't buy enough of the Amsoil chaincase lube to do a total swap.
