The only thing I hear is from the seats squeaking all the time! The Polaris seat system is great when you want to take out your seats but they fit so loose they squeak to much. I hear nothing from my belt clutch area.

 

I have that squeak on my 17 xpt -- I think its from mashing the throttle (driving style) mine doesn't do it if I can go easy on the throttle... more of a gradual acceleration instead of smashing the gas. Just love having a turbo so much more

They are the Little Sahara Dunes in Utah.
Does your belt squeak if you mash the throttle from a dead stop or when your rolling?
For me it was about 25-30 mph when I mashed the throttle.

 

Just purchased Skat-Trak Extreme 10-Paddle 30x13x14 for my XP Turbo after watching my friend drive circles around me at the dunes with the same setup.

 

Are those pretty durable paddles? There’s some sections of dirt in between the dunes and I need them to be durable.
Where did you buy yours at?

I have a set of gmz wheels With 30 inch sand strippers on my turbo 15 paddle and they are super strong , we encounter rock and hard pack and they have held up great a little heavy but they will stand up to harsh environments

 

I have a tune and clutch work in my S. No squeak from belt. Didn’t squeak before or after tune. I would bull your cover and clean inspect belt and clutch halves.

 

Great input guys I sure appreciate it. I’ve spent countless hours the last few days researching paddles and man is it almost overwhelming!! Lol
Two questions I have regarding the turbo S...
With the machine being setup to run 32” tires from the factory will I need to reclutch going with a 30” skat extreme tire?
Also with the tires being 2” shorter does anyone see bottoming out and dragging the skid being an issue?

 

You know Skats now come in a 32x13x14 and a 32x13x15 right? Just saying.

 

Maybe? Depends on the dune running you do. Is it just straight up the dune drags or do you tool around everywhere. These turbos seem to run best around 8400 to 8600 rpms. Maybe the xp turbo dune guys can chime in here. But remember your S is heavier than the XPT. I would go out with the stock setup and see what rpms its running and adjust from there.

 

I mostly just rip around all over... big Bowles and the occasional steep climb up a big hill.

 

If it was me I'd go with the 30" Skats. There's a very nice set for sale here on the forum.

 

Does anyone know if a 14x7 wheel would work with the Skat Extreme 30-13-14?
I would like a 8” wise wheel but most of them seem to be 7”.
