Although I didn't buy my 570 to go fast, Up here in Michigan you can make these things street legal which has crossed my mind. It would be cool to jump in the RZR and head in to town once in awhile in the summer. My question is would driving top speed for 15-20 minutes or maybe longer hurt the motor or drivetrain? Anyone have a street legal 570 that can weigh in on this/

Not gonna hurt it, but unless you buy some street tires you will wear the stock tires out in a hurry.

A good 10 hr break in before you WOT, proper warmup of engine, clutch, belt, diffs, before all rides is recommended, and an enhanced fluid cycle if you like working on, taking care of your toyz yourself. Screw those tires Denver, only popo would put a 2 or 4 ply tire on an otherwise great off roader. Burn'm up Knightridder and save for something decent…

Yes Im currently going through the break in period right now. Its killing me because I want to turn this thing loose! But I know its worth it to do everything the right way. Im already saving for some better treads lol.

I drive my 570 for miles on blacktop at full speed and haven't had any problems. Put car tires on and the 570 in turf mode corners just like a race car.

We were going to street legal ours, but we decided not too. Just finding someone to insure it for road use was a big hurdle so we decided not besides we live in an area where it's legal to ride into town.

Been street-legal for over a year now. I ride mine into town, and up and over the mountain pass (20 miles) to get to the trails. Probably put between 600 and 1000 STREET miles on the *stock* tires, and still measured them with 70% tread left. The worst wear I have seen has been on hard-pack rocky trails, not on the street.

I have always subscribed to the "break it in like you're going to ride it" school of thought, so mine was "broken in" the day I took it home. I ride some long stretches at WOT, though (technically) you're never supposed to exceed 45 MPH on a street-legal ATV/UTV in Utah. Anyway... so while never exceeding 45 (cough, cough) I've learned that if you continually feather the gas pedal in and out at WOT, you'll get a little more speed out of it. When you feel it choking out, you back off a little, then get back on it... Takes a little getting used to, but if you just keep it mashed to the ground, it will top out about 3-5 MPH slower.

Anyway... have fun! Just be aware that off-road tires are stickier than DOT tires, and therefore present a bigger rolling hazard on sharp turns on pavement. I recently went to a set of EFX MotoClaws on my 570. Those suckers have mad grip on pavement... probably 2x what the stock tires did. I'm hoping they wear even half as well as the stock Anclas did.

yep, break it in like your are going to ride it.

when we build cummins motors from the ground up the first thing we do after 3 heat cycles ( setting in a comp cam) is hook a trailer to it that is 15k or more and get it hot and cool it down to seat the rings.

BUT, i will say this these little prostar motors run hot and lean and any motor that is breaking in will create even more heat so i might be prone to a little more caution than a monster diesel.

Yep around 4000 miles of street riding.
