You need a knowledgeable Polaris tech's help IMO. The parts fische says the ECUs all have the same part number...BUT I just looked at the Polaris part number printed on my RZR4s ECU...and it is NOT what is listed in the parts fiche! I did a part number search for the number on mine (4013177) and nothing came up.
MAYBE if it is an ECU programming issue a dealer could flash the international program via digital wrench...BUT then again there is always the possibility that Digital Wrench/Polaris either won't give a US dealer access to the intl program or it won't allow it to upload based on the ECU serial number?? Again...I think you need to sweet talk a tech savy Polaris tech who has digital wrench experience. JMO

I think you're right about the ECU, something is different. Also I have called Polaris and they won't even talk to you all they say is contact your dealer as they are trained pros, so I called several and they honestly don't have a clue about what I am asking them. Also the part # on my ECU does not match the part # in any of the Polaris parts break downs. And I looked at the ECU part # for several different machines and it says that this ECU fits almost everything they make which I find hard to believe.
Is there a Polaris help tech line anywhere ? ? ?

Yes you were told go to your dealer:rofl3: sorry I could not resist but thats the only answer I could get myself and I share your frustration, its sad, the way I understand the system is if you have a problem you go to the dealer then if the dealer cant figure it out they are suppose to call the Polaris help tech line your looking for and get the info, I think the only thing you can do is to type out all your questions then take them to the dealer and ask if they will forward them to the super secret Polaris tech group.

The one dealer I went to for a problem they emailed Polaris the question maybe you can work something out with the dealer where you just email him the questions and he can forward them to Polaris and save you driving to the dealer?

At this point its locked and you have never got it to unlock correct?

One of the trouble shooting steps is Check for power from the relay connector to ensure the solenoid has power to be activated. The way I interpret that is you can turn the key on or start the RZR then switch the turf switch and should see power going to the solenoid no criteria to be met like I thought before, you agree? The manual is pretty vague a more detailed theory of operation would be nice.

They also suggest removing the solenoid from the differential then making sure the plunger will work you might try this maybe something is bound up inside?

HOSER,
In the power off state the rear end is locked, I have momentarily put power to the relay and it worke fine and energizes the solenoid so yes it is in the locked state right now. Everything seems to be working as described except for the output of the ECU which is producing nothing which leads me to believe that possibly there is a problem with the ECU or it simply requires a different one. Like I said before I don't believe every model uses the same ECU as I checked the part # on mine against the Polaris # and it's not even close so I really think that this is the problem area.

This is the P/N listed for all machines and mine has a Polaris P/N 4012227 which nobody can I.D. ? ? ? ? So if anybody has a spare or used ECU P/N 4011599 please let me know as that looks like my next try.

Spoke to my dealer today he quoted part no-4011599 this was for a 2010 rzrs.Hope this help you.

If you look at your ECU it has a sticker on it...it will most likely have a different part number on it that what is shown in the parts fiche that your dealer is looking at...

Scooty that number(4011599) must be a generic number for the parts fiche...mine doesn't have that number either and the number mine has(posted above) isn't in the fiche either.

Scooty, Finally found this thread. Been waiting on your news about this installation.

Other than this electrical snafu, how did the mechanical end of it go?

I was told by many members here that this could not be done.

Sounds to me like you proved some wrong.

Now that I am waiting on my diff to come and I am going to be in the same boat as Scooty on this, can someone tell me what the AWD/TURF switch looks like.

Is it a 3 position rocker?

Oh hi Scooty. Well if you dont think your gonna use it, let me know what you gotta have for it.

I am going to rack my brain around this electrical thing now and see what I can find out. A challenge you might say.

One thing I cant find is a intl. wiring schematic in a pdf.
