Ok I am still learning and wondering why are some running two batteries?
What is the advantage of two batteries and why are some running an optimum batteries? Is there a specific battery? I use to put a trickle charger on my harley when I wasn't able to ride it for a couple of days. Is anyone doing this???
Thanks in advance for any advice!!! Still learning about these machines!

Sug, any off road vehicle will benefit from 2 batteries in parallel. You still get 12 volts, but you now have twice the muscle of a single battery. (assuming that the batteries are identical) When you start to add stereos, lighting, winches etc, you can easily drain your stock battery down to the danger level of a no-restart condition. Now you are in trouble because there is no pull starter to rely on. If you don't have a buddy and jumper cables, you are walking.
A second battery is great, but it really needs an isolator to keep one of them from being discharged by your add ons. That battery will always be getting recharged as needed by the alternator, but it is isolated from being discharged down to a level too low to restart.

Two batteries, one to run all the stock equipment (that won't discharge when the RZR isn't running), the other to run all your auxilliary electronics (stereo, etc.) when the RZR is off. With an isolator, you prevent a dead starter battery.
