I installed Dragonfire's dual exhaust, intake, bored throttle body, clutch, and fuel controller yesterday and am not impressed with it at all. Does anyone else have this kit installed?? If so how do I set up the fuel controller? I don't think it's any better than stock right now. HELP PLEASE!!!!

Oh man,, another victim! Yes, I did the same thing to mine and i feel the same. As for the fuel controller - I can't seem to tell a difference no matter how i set it. My buddy left his S stock and mine isn't any faster! VERY dissappointed! The only positive thing I can say is that the intake doesn't let NO dust/dirt in what so ever. As for that, I feel that I got taken. Or maybe there is some secret about the fuel controller that I don't know about. Is there anyone out there that can help us?

Hey Chad, I put the DFR Throtle body, fuel control, air box & stage 2 clutch, I already had a header and FMF exhaust tip. I had the dealer install it because it's free labor if I buy from them so I let them do it. They worked on it for days trying to set the fuel controler. The big diff I noticed was when you stab the pedal from a stand still, it screams right up to the rev limiter but when you are running about half throtle & you nail it, it's not that responsive. Seems the dealer had a lot of problems setting it up. They were setting buttons then riding it and comparing it to new RZR's they had on the lot. They claim they could notice the difference, I could feel a difference off the line but not when you nail it when yer going about 30 mph. I'm starting to think it was a waste of money. I have not been to Glamis since the throtle body replacement. That will be the test to tell if it was a waste of money. Sorry I didn't get back to ya in the earlier post but keep me posted how yerz werks. C-Ya

i didnt have any luck with fuel controller, intake, and exhaust on my 700 grizzly. It ran exactly the same before and after. so now that i have a rzr im not real sure what to do to get some more power without dropping major dough!

The one thing I've noticed with DFR is that their "Quality Control, and Customer Services" pretty much sucks. The header pipe that I got from them wasn't welded all the way and when I called them on it they told me - "it happens, so send it back to us and you should have it back in about 2 weeks". They weren't even willing to cover my shipping costs to get it back to them. Also, they didn't send the intake to me untill 2 weeks later! And, the item was suppose to be in stock. Go figure! All I know is that I have no desire supporting such BS.

First off I would like to say that my experience with Dragonfire was MUCH DIFFERENT than yours. They have gone way out of their way to help me get through this situation, even offered to call past customers that have had good luck with the kit to see what the problem might be. Kevin @ Dragonfire wanted to give me his home # in case I ran into any further problems after they closed for the evening.

With that said I finally got everything adjusted correctly (most of it was my fault) and the kit has made considerable difference from 0-40 mph. It is much snappier. On the top end I didn't notice much though, which is fine as I mostly ride in the woods. Is it a turbo? Definitely not, but I didn't spend nearly as much as what a turbo would cost so I don't expect it to be either.

A little off topic here, but what is the deal with putting dual exhaust on the Rzr? 2 into 1 pipes on motorcycles perform better (HP and torque) than 2-2 pipes due to among other factors, the scavaging ability. E.G. for Harley motors the Vance & Hines Pro Pipe or the Thunderheader 2-1's are much better than the (imo better looking) staggard duals. Maybe I'm missing something but I see no reason why the same would not apply with the Rze motor. If anything, dual exhaust will hurt performance, not help it.

Just talked to Dragonfire's tech dept. My rzr is idling at 950ish, they said to turn up the idle and that will help a bunch. He said that the idle adjustment and the TPS need to be set exactly so that the timing isn't retarded at all, then he said just adjust the TPS so that it idles smoothly. WTF???

We also did something similar with dragonfires products and the gain was only on the top end because of the new clutch. We had the complete pipe, fuel controller, long travel suspension, and clutch kit with our own intake. About 2 months ago i put the rzr on the dyno and found out that with our intake and the pipe there is better performance with the stock cdi. The aftermarket fuel controller throws too much fuel in and floods it through the whole rpm range. This was a dragonfire programmer.

Sounds like I'm gonna wind up selling my DFR stuff & go TURBO if I don't notice a big increase in power. So far I've only been out 1 time & I'm not impressed. The only problem is, with all this unhappy talk going around here about these DFR products, it's gonna be hard to get rid of it..Shuda dunna turbo...

Shouldn't have a problem selling the intake. They're more money then the UMP, but they are nice. That was the first thing I installed on my S, to protect it from dust.

Trust me once you have the turbo, you'll notice a big increase in power.
