I just installed AA slip on and wow its loud just at idle, sounds like a frickin harley. Couldnt even imagine just a strait pipe..
Thanks man that's the sound I'm looking for. I bought a Looney Tuned full exhaust system back in the day for my old 800 and it sounded like a harley too. I love that sound. I'm going the straight pipe route tomorrow and depending how it sounds I'll keep this as my back up option. So did you have to tune your machine after that AA slip on?

I usually ride during the week out in BLM areas away from other people for the most part so I'm not too worried about annoying anyone since I purposely try to get away from people when I ride.

No tune on it as of now, no need for a tune with a slip on. I am however doing an AA stage 2 tune after break in, machine hasnt seen dirt yet

Wow lots of sensitive people here regarding this topic. I guess I'm the only one that prefers loud exhaust over the stock sound. I grew up riding dirt bikes and quads and I've always customized all my toys. It adds to the fun in my opinion. Everywhere I ride is usually away from people anyway ( BLM areas ) so it's not to impress or annoy anyone. It's for my own riding experience. Anyway didn't mean to trigger so many sensitive people.

I don't believe that anyone here is actually sensitive to the noise as much as they are sensitive to the issues that the noise causes. The louder exhaust sound you may enjoy can be offensive to many more who don't enjoy it. Like it or not, there are many more of them than us and guess who gets their way when people start complaining about the noise.

I also grew up riding dirt bikes and 4 wheelers but times change and we have to be conscience of others now.

There are Parks, trail systems, Federal, and state lands that are having restrictions placed on them for OHV. There are noise ordinances in towns and some places have all out banned OHVs because of the loud pipes, music, and other issues. Heck there are crack downs on loud mufflers on cars and trucks as well as Harleys.
There are more and more people going out into public lands to enjoy them. The last thing people are expecting to hear is someone ripping through the quiet woods with a loud machine. I've heard this complaint from several people I work with who are certainly not the "Karen" type.

I've had straight exhaust on my older cars and trucks and had drag pipes on my Harley. I put a Thunder header on it and actually improved the performance but lost the sound.

I was at Sand Hollow yesterday and there was a group of people who had machines, Polaris and Can Am's that certainly didn't have factory exhaust. I think the Can Am had the exhaust system that would dump the exhaust out of the straight pipe at the flick of a switch. When he went by us on the beach he was a lot quieter than when we were in the dunes.
Maybe go with something like this? Loud when you want it loud. Quiet for when you are around people.

Gonna ask a question that’s been asked many times but I honestly dont know the answer to; do I need a tuner or need to make and changes if I installed an EVP exhaust

I think today people are moving to being quieter without losing hp.
I've made my rzr quieter and don't care if i lose hp. It's more enjoyable to us and as well as others.
I wouldn't ride with someone with a straight pipe with it being so obnoxious. Tells me a lot about a person who is insensitive and doesn't care about anyone else but themselves.
You want noise then take it to the track

The turbo RZRs straight piped aren't near as loud as the X3 straight piped. My dad has a KRX which is a pretty noisy machine to ride in and he couldn't hear me when he was following unless we were going up a hill and I was really on it. Im not justifying a straight exhaust, I have one now but it wont be staying on much longer.

The loud exhaust is one thing but you can manage them and make it quiet with how you ride, its the people that are full wood through town and camp grounds/neighborhoods with loud exhausts that screw us all.

Straight pipe?

Lol! Great idea.. and i mean just absolutely superb idea.
Why run a pipe at all? Hell, just letter eat right from the turbo.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I laughed so hard at this shit right here man!! Damn I needed that and I agree 💯💯💯 straight pipe hell go shorter 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I have officially started coming here for more entertainment than technical. Almost becomes a forum of oil arguments and hey look at my new machine.

Take all our advice and don’t do it, leave it OEM, go nice aftermarket or have a nice custom one built using a good muffler. Just don’t do it man!!

But if you do please share pics and video!! 🥤😆🍿

Trail scratches are for men.

We also like to police grammar:ROFLMAO:

Hi. Straight pipes sound like dog shit. Nice exhausts sound nice. That’s why high school kids and idiots run their v6 mustangs and Camaros with gutted pipes, because they don’t know any better. Be better, buy nice, tuned shit, or buy mufflered shit to your liking. You can hear exhaust from miles away.
