Do i need to tune if i go straight pipe? 21' Pro XP
Good to know, thanks!Iv heard a pro with same muffler but with the cap on one and stock spark arrestor in the other . Actually makes them sound better to me. Has a deeper tone this way. And a little quieter especially at idle and mid rpm.
Thanks man that's the sound I'm looking for. I bought a Looney Tuned full exhaust system back in the day for my old 800 and it sounded like a harley too. I love that sound. I'm going the straight pipe route tomorrow and depending how it sounds I'll keep this as my back up option. So did you have to tune your machine after that AA slip on?I just installed AA slip on and wow its loud just at idle, sounds like a frickin harley. Couldnt even imagine just a strait pipe..
No tune on it as of now, no need for a tune with a slip on. I am however doing an AA stage 2 tune after break in, machine hasnt seen dirt yetThanks man that's the sound I'm looking for. I usually ride during the week out in BLM areas away from other people for the most part so I'm not too worried about annoying anyone since I purposely try to get away from people when I ride.
There are Parks, trail systems, Federal, and state lands that are having restrictions placed on them for OHV. There are noise ordinances in towns and some places have all out banned OHVs because of the loud pipes, music, and other issues. Heck there are crack downs on loud mufflers on cars and trucks as well as Harleys.Wow lots of sensitive people here regarding this topic. I guess I'm the only one that prefers loud exhaust over the stock sound. I grew up riding dirt bikes and quads and I've always customized all my toys. It adds to the fun in my opinion. Everywhere I ride is usually away from people anyway ( BLM areas ) so it's not to impress or annoy anyone. It's for my own riding experience. Anyway didn't mean to trigger so many sensitive people.
The turbo RZRs straight piped aren't near as loud as the X3 straight piped. My dad has a KRX which is a pretty noisy machine to ride in and he couldn't hear me when he was following unless we were going up a hill and I was really on it. Im not justifying a straight exhaust, I have one now but it wont be staying on much longer.I think today people are moving to being quieter without losing hp.
I've made my rzr quieter and don't care if i lose hp. It's more enjoyable to us and as well as others.
I wouldn't ride with someone with a straight pipe with it being so obnoxious. Tells me a lot about a person who is insensitive and doesn't care about anyone else but themselves.
You want noise then take it to the track
Straight pipe?
Lol! Great idea.. and i mean just absolutely superb idea.
Why run a pipe at all? Hell, just letter eat right from the turbo.
