Someone piped an 1/8 pipe thread extension on my rearend and of coarse it's not the right thread. The threads are a little boogered up and I need to run a chaser in it. I see the part number for the plug is 5133731 but it does not show the tread size. What thread is the rear diff drain plug?

I ended up running to Polaris and getting the plug because I needed it anyway. It's 3/8-24 if anyone needs to know.

yes you are correct it is 3/8-24 thread, if your threads are is bad shape which I suspect they are after having a pipe thread in them. You can use a 7/16-20 taper tap to put 7/16 thread in the drain hole, don't need to drill it any just take care to get it straight. Then you can use a short 7/16-20 bolt and a copper or aluminum washer for a gasket.
