I have this kit for my RZR as an emergency trail replacement
I will say this the replacement boot that comes with this kit is a little softer in composition vs OEM that makes it able to stretch over the cone.

 

it's easier to just put the axle put it in a vice hit the cv with a brass hammer to knock it off then take the old boot off and put new one on, then just tap the cv back on. lots of videos out on this.

 

I agree. It’s a 30 min fix.

 

Appreciate the responses. I ordered the boot with the cone, but may go ahead and order a regular cv boot as well and keep it as a quick repair if I'm out. I agree the rubber on the other boot will be thinner.

 

Listen to the guys above, It is a lot faster to just take the Joint off.

The c clip is on the shaft. But that’s the general idea though.
