I have a 08 rzr 800 with the 82mm CP 11.5/1 pistons. Since I'm running the 9.78 compression head do you think I'd be able to run low boost and still be reliable? And any thoughts about E85?

My current setup:
-hot rods crank
-82mm CP pistons
-S cam
-fuel controller
-two mufflers exhaust
-wide band O2
-UMP filter set up

Do you know your final comp ratio? 10:1 and down you can run up to 8 psi safe on pump gas with good tune. More on e85. E85 will let you run more timing and comp with no issues. I run 16psi on 9:1 with e85. I was told 12psi on 10:1 was safe with e85. I have the 900 xp but the rules on turbos are the same. If you are at 11:1 run E85 and start at 5psi. That should be fsirly reliable. Tune will be cruscial. Pull -5° for safety. You can always bump it back if all goes well. But yes you can turbo it.:)

On my 800 I ran 12:1 comp and 15lbs of boost on e85. Thing was a beast! I had the remapped dynatech ignition box. Not even sure how much timing it was pulling. Not saying that combo is safe but it did live for a few weeks before I bought a built low compression engine. (9:1).
Sh!t just realized this post is a year old. Well hope it went well. Haha
