Check Engine Light comes on

Looking for some input. I have a 2016 Polaris RZR XP41000. I am the original owner and have about 1200 miles on it now. Since the day I owned it - pretty regularly when riding the 'check engine' light comes on and it goes in limp mode. If I stop and turn it off/basically reset the machine, when I turn it back on the ck engine light is still on but it is usually out of limp mode - if I ride for a few minutes the light goes off too.

Frustrating because it will happed 2-3 times per ride. Ck engine light/limp mode and you have to stop and restart everything.

I have had it to the dealer more times then I can count - they can't find anything wrong? Yet after two years and 1200 miles it still happens?

Anyone else ever have this problem? Only thing I did change was the battery - few people told me it just might be a low voltage issue. But it still happens.

My 2918 Rzr s4 900 EPS has done it twice this summer. I called the dealer and they told me my belt probably slipped and engine misfired. Told me to check the belt if it was worn or signs of slipping. Did that, compared it to my new spare belt and they almost look the same, hardly any wear, so I did blow a lot of dust from the clutch and reinstalled the original belt. Oil lwas fine, Coolant was fine checked for loose wires, found nothing. When the engine light did come on the first time only for a couple seconds, nothing happend, second time it put engine in limp mode. I stopped and restarted and never did it again , so far, 2800 miles on it. Anything else I should be looking for????????

Milef33, that probably is a slipping belt. If you look at the engine codes it will be one or both of the misfire codes. Turning the engine off then back on and driving for a bit around 4000 rpm resets these codes until the belt slips again. Just replace the belt. It doesn’t take much of a flat or polished spot to make the belt slip.
