The chassis relay has a constant clicking sound when the key is turned on. Does this mean the relay is bad?
What does the chassis relay control?

switch relays around. They are all the same. Identify the bad guy.

Note: on the XP the chassis relay CAN BE OUT and the machine still starts and runs if memory serves.

Also those little guys may be the electronic style - hence no noise?

I'm still learning too

BarRZR...It is there to make a clicking sound to annoy the owner. Now you know what it does!:) Depending on the relay they can also function as an "inopportune moment shut-off switch" for the mudders.

I ordered one from the dealer, should be here in a couple of days. The parts guys didn't know what it controlled either.I did not ask in the service department.
Also I did check grounds and connections.

Thank you to everyone for your interest and answers about this problem.

So I guess you have a 2011-2012 then.
Here's a block diagram from the service manual of that part of the wiring. The chassis relay controls lights, AWD and accessories.

I just had to change my circuit breaker under the battery box last night and after I did that the beast wouldnt turn over.." did before even with 20amp circuit breaker was disconnected" after we rewired it up behind seat would not turn over but had lights.. pulled several fuses and when we pulled the chasis relay it turned over but got a check engine light, popped the chasis relay back in and light came off and the machine ran great... looking to replace that relay but just trying to see if this happened... thanks and this guy likes to get dirty!
