Charging Voltage

I have a 2014 xp 1K that started acting up Saturday. First noticed voltage down in the 11.8/11.9 range then it would climb back slowly to 13.4/13.5 range. But if you bring up to a pretty high rpm is when the voltage would come back up and when it idled it would seem to start dropping back but not always or instantly. Sometimes it would and sometimes it wouldn't. I was wondering what you guys think the problem is? I'm thinking the VR.

I'm not sure if Rick's makes a stator? Hopefully it's easier to change on the 1k than the 800 though! Lol!

Well my voltage always shows 12.5 or so with no load before trying to start the engine. Only notice the major drop when I put a load on it. So maybe worth pulling the battery and having it load tested at an autoparts store.

I've not actually checked the battery voltage but ill check it tomorrow and let you know . I was out with it Saturday and never did have any problem starting just noticed it dipping real low then it would come right back up. I did add a radio just before this ride but I wouldn't think that should not be a problem.

It could be the voltage regulator. How is the voltage on the battery? I ask because I'm fixing to replace my 5yr old Odyssey battery, I noticed tolhe volatge dropping down to 11.5 volts at times while riding Saturday usually when the fan was running and the engine idling. But I have noticed mine cranking hard sometimes and the voltage dropping all the way down to 7-8 volts when starting.
