do you have the service manual in hand? there is a balance shaft in that engine still right? from what i've found you should still have 6 digits on the case...
1 digit on each rod
6 digits on the case
6 letters on the crank shaft
there should be two letters on the balance shaft too.... but the service manual is kind of vague in that area
this manual is also terribly worded compared to my XP900 manual, so i can see your confusion... although i see they do give you bearing and journal diameters, that's nice
get some pics if you can, and let me know all the stamps you've found on everything, I'll see what i can come up with for ya, but this is how i interpret it: (irrelevant numbers used for ease of ID)
Stampings:
ROD: 78
CRANK: ABCDEF
CASE: 123456
Balance Shaft: GH
Bearings:
PTO Rod: 7B
MAG Rod: 8D
Crank (From PTO Side to MAG side): 1A - 2C - 3E - 4F
Balance Shaft: 5G - 6H
Using the actual letters / numbers, the matrix plays out like this:
1B - Blue Bearing
1G - Blue
1Y - Green
2B - Blue
2G - Green
2Y - Yellow
3B - Green
3G - Yellow
3Y - Yellow
maybe they consider the balance shaft a constant, or with a high enough tolerance, that they only give it one assigned bearing size... odd, but possible i guess, and that would explain your missing numbers, if they are actually missing numbers (that's all speculation)
