My sons 2015 900s has the Fox shocks. Passenger front feels like it’s hitting hard going over small bumps. These things easy to repair yourself?

Either the stock end caps have leaked and the nitrogen has leaked out. Or the seals are shot nd the gas has leaked into the shock. Mine did both. I sent them back to FOX and they rebuilt all 4 for about 100 bucks apiece. I installed the Schmidty racing caps prior to the rebuild so I can monitor and adjust gas pressure going forward.

The Schrader valve end caps are available on Schmidty racing’s website. Easy to change. Buy be warned. When I changed mine it was obvious that more than 1 was bad. So off they went to Fox for a rebuild.

1. Drill out stock cap rubber plug with a small bit and drain nitrogen.

2. Push cap into now depressurized reservoir and undo spring clip.

3. Remove stock cap

4. Clean up the mating surface and slide in the new cap with new lubed o-ring. And reinstall spring clip.

5 pressurize to 200 psi and done.

As Superduke said. It's a breeze to do. Hardest part is taking them off the machine to take somewhere to be re-pressurized. Well, getting the spring clip out easily depends on your tools, but that's all. And it's not "busted", just leaked out it's pressure. I replaced all my suspension bushings trying to fix the clunk before I discovered this post. I did all 4 just on GP's...

Factory psi is 100. Schmidty recommends 200.

I was skeptical of doubling the pressure and because I’m smarter than everyone in the world I did 100, was still mushy in the front. Than 150. Better. Now I’m at 200 and it’s the best it’s been. I think the lower stock pressure was because of the rubber valve as mentioned on this site. The schrader valve has no problem with the extra psi. Who knew the the guy that designed it was right. I’m an idiot.

Dealer will do it. Call around. I found one that did it for free as long as I took the shocks off the machine and brought them in. I took him a pizza anyway. The downside is that he would not put more pressure in it than Polaris recommended.

Machine shops can usually pressurize with nitrogen I think.

I recently got my son a 2015 900S, it has a thumping sound when its off road in a bump, in driver rear. I swapped the rear sway bar bushings thinking that was the problem. I can still move the sway bar from side to side, is that normal?
Or do I have a busted shock, not familiar with these Fox shocks. Thanks

Both of my RZRs rear sway bars have had some lateral play, almost required for them to function? The design doesn't lock them in place.
