The Polaris manual lists 25 hours. Seems a little excessive to me. I have a 130 miles and about 14 hours. I feel its broken in but Im holding back from flooring the piss out of it until i hit 25. Im probably going to do my first maintenance at 20 hours instead of 25.

 

My first oil change is at 10hrs and again at 20hrs to flush out any garbage during the break in. Oil is cheap, cheap insurance!

 

I would suggest removing belt and washing with soap and water and cleaning the clutch sheeves with a green 3m scotch bright pad and alcohol. Then be sure the belt gets a little heat in it before you get on the skinny pedal.

Just when new and when replacing a belt.

Can you just put it on jack stands and plop a rock on the gas pedal? 25 hours??

 

The motor is broke in way before 25 hrs. They just want the first oil change by then.
