Some people are real a$$h0les. I bought an 09 that had 27 hrs 300 miles, it had all the aftermarket goodies that I wanted and it seemed really really clean. So I take it home and start going through it and start to notice the camber on one rear wheel is wayyy off. After looking into it a little more it seems the whole rear is twisted. It drives fine and all but if you look at the whole machine sits crooked. So i bought somebody elses headache.

I've looked at a polaris parts website and a whole frame is $900. Thats really my only option right? Thats the money I wanted to spend on the superatv +5 suspension. I plan on taking the whole thing apart now I could try and straighten it but I know it would never be the same and just aggravate me everytime I look at it.

Have you found where the bend is? There are some good vids on youtube that show you the common places to look for. Check them out and report back. Also, look on the one bright side... if you do need to do a frame replacement it gives you the chance to do a full weld in gusset kit easily and cleanly prior.

No its def bent. There is even an extra hole drilled for the upper rear a arm to try and correct the camber on the one side. I bought it from a private seller, who of course won't answer the phone now. I don't expect him to do anything but I just want to let him know how I feel about it.

that's the hard part about this whole thing. you have seen it how many times ?
a court would say you bought it as is and how do they know you didn't do this after you bought it. now i know you probably didn't do it and he's p.o.s. for selling you this that way and not telling you. sucking it up is the worst and lost time blows ... we all want more time to ride then work on a machine. have you ever done a job this big? if you haven't , make sure to take lots of pic on each stage of removal. then bag and mark the series of bolts and crap you remove. you know already that if you run into a problem you can always go here for help.

People always say that. But I wouldnt' want to spend 400+ dollars to pull a 900 dollar frame.. IMO I'd replace it if you can't get your money back.. Did the bill of sale he wrote you say as is?

This is my worst nightmare and why I dont buy used until I can take it to a dealer to get checked first. I'm wondering if the frame is bent what did they do to bend it? Which wheel, axle, plastics, ect could be damaged unless you pull it part and check. Sounds like a new frame might be a good solution. I'd say take it to a dealer and see what they say as well.

My uncle owns a body shop, he would fix it for me free of charge. I know it may not be perfect but it will be close enough for me. Plus it gives me a chance to really see what's going on and change whatever else this idiot ruined, and put some gussets on the frame

On another note I took it out riding this weekend for the first time and MAN OH MAN what a blast I was smiling all dam day

Good deal. No cost is your obvious option. You could make it better than new if you take some time on it with the gussets and some good primer and paint. Pretty sure your uncle can make it RZR "perfect" with their frame tools. Be there with him and take measurements so you 100% happy down the road.

Sorry to hear about that. Some people have no morals. I agree with polyol, have it checked out to how much it will cost to get it straightend, if it can be, and then make the decission to do it or replace it. It's not that big of a job to replace it. I did it with mine. Here is the link to my rebuild thread if you are interested in the amount of work it is.
