Usually happens if park doesn't engage. (park indicator doesn't light when shifted into park). Check engine light will come on, but will go out as soon as any shift indicator lights. code will remain in memory.

25 Code is no big deal. It goes off at one point or another on all these machines. My dealer called it a dummy code. It is listed in the Polaris Dealer Service Manual as a transmission error code. It can get tripped if you shift too quickly or having the rpms up when you shift. It will clear on its own or you can disconnect your battery for a minute or so to reset. As long as it shifts correctly and goes into P.R.N.L.H. and they show up on the indicator you should be good, otherwise it may need a minor adjustment.

Glad I read this forum! I brought my machine home from my cabin in Utah so I could take it to the dealer due to a check engine light. I searched this forum and found that the blink code 25 was just a tranny shift indicator prob. Didn't waste my time or money at the PoPo shop! Thanks guys,

When plowing snow for a while my L indicator will not show up on the display but it still goes into low range but will not engage the awd. If I keep driving it the check engine light will come on until I change the shift position then it goes out. When I did the diagnostic it came up with a code 25. How do I correct the problem so I can use my low range and awd, any help is appreciated.

 

mine does the exact same thing. Took it in and they said that they would pull it for $1100.00 and do exploratory surgery. I said no thanks. Did you resolve it yet?

 

The local dealer said to pull out the shift linkage and clean it up because they get moisture and mud in them and can get rusty on the contacts. I haven't tried pulling it apart yet.
