What are the best performance mods for the money? I'm considering the HMF dual exhaust (in orange of course) its a true dual exhaust, comes with an EFI optimizer and adds 4hp for about $1200, is there something better for the money? Thanks in advance!

Here's an option to consider....
We think intake is the best place to start!!! Our "Full Four" intake kit give you much quicker throttle response, off the line acceleration and mid range punch. Instead of slowly building HP, it's on tap immediately. We use a massive R2C air filter for excellent air flow and filtration.

Dalton clutch from Hunterworks and my next purchase will be a reflash from Benchmark performance. From everything I have read it looks like these are the cheapest gains in performance. From my research intake and exhaust are optimized from the factory. Boondocker turbo even uses stock exhaust and intake on some of there builds. I'm going to order the reflash today and I will post some 0 to 60 times stock and with reflash. The clutch kit really is a winner in my book.

Clutching is good, if nothing else to replace some of the weak components that have proven to be an issue. Your talking forced induction which is a different animal. Pretty heavy investment, and if you looking for longevity and dependability your going to want to get into the motor and spend money there too. As for Reflash, guess it's all about what your after, but a quality controller works well and is adjustable.

I agree with you on the turbo and controller. It would be really cool if some people got together and did a shootout with with various products and dyno results. There are many factors like temp and barometer that will change dyno results, especially when we are talking about small HP gains like 1 to 4 hp. My bike for instance would rarely hit 8250 rpm's. Now with the clutch I can bump 8750. I have the clutch setup for sand. When I'm 3/4 the way up a hill I still have plenty of power. The issue now is I need paddle tires for more bite.

$300 per 1 hp! Heck no haha I just bought a turbo used for $1400. I'd do a slip on muffler, airaid filter, and clutching from hunterworks unless you don't care about warranty then I would pick up a turbo kit... The benchmark retune is nice for the 1000's my brother did it before he bought a Silber turbo kit.

I agree that this, if you have that much to spend, is probably the absolute best gain per dollar. Not only is it 18hp, they lock the throttle-by-wire as well so the throttle response is so much better and doesn't cut to 1/2 throttle or whatever it is at top speed. Haven't used it myself but it looks amazing.

I did an alba stage 1 kit on my xp4 and you can tell the difference in power and response allot, all my buddys have 2 seaters and they all tell me they cant keep up with me with that stage 1 kit on mine, and I take all of them when we drag race up hill or leveled ground
