I've had my plug get some corrosion in it, I disconnected the negative battery cable and used a very fine wire brush in a cordless drill into the plug and then blew the plug out with my air hose, that woke it up again.

 

Brand new. No corrosion to clean buddy. I'm thinking the wires go back to the solenoid and they put the positive of the tender on the wrong terminal. There are 2 posts on the solenoid, 1 is hot and the other isn't

 

Yeah mine was only 2 months old, I couldn't see the corrosion but it was the 1 thing I hadn't tried and it fixed it.

 

Dang. Ok. I probed the wires and nothing showed on multimeter. That bypassed any corrosion that may be there

 

I am assuming by your post that the battery is charged at this time. However, if you have a dead battery the battery tender will not work until there is at least a minimal amount of power in the battery. When charging a dead battery, I have to trick the battery tender by hooking the battery up to another battery to get it to start charging and then I disconnect the two batteries.

 

Battery is charged and working fine. The tender just not working.

 

New Tender time.

 

That's not the issue. They didn't connect it from the factory. I tested the wires. No power to the plug nor wires. Do any of you have a small black and red wire connected to your battery or the positive post under the arm rest?

I'm going to have to take to shop for a warranty issue

 

I have a 2022 xp pro ultimate brand new and tried to connect my battery tender to the factory plug and it's not working. I put my meter on the plug and nothing. Is this fused and if so does anyone know where the fuse is? The wires from the plug go into a main harness which I think runs thru the tunnel to the back near the battery. Any suggestions?

There should be an inline fuse a few inches terminal ring ends - see photo & part # below

 

mine is different part number but i get it. My cables to the charge put disappear into a larger harness which seemed to run to the rear. I assume they didn't connect mine when building it. I'll just take it to the dealer for warranty work. I just hope they don't mess something else up.

 

My 22 did same thing ,has a fuse under dash by drivers knee 20 amp i believe

 

Do you remember which fuse? I thought I checked all of them. Also, do you have any wires going to your battery besides the main battery wire? Any small wires which would be the battery tender?

 

Also, was the fuse in the main fuse tray by driver knee on the center console?

 

i will look . Sure it was by drivers knee The dash charger port definitely goes thru fuse box not direct to battery.

it’s by your knee. 15 amp fuse closest to shifter. Inside of fuse box cover has a diagram that shows charge

 

 

They didn't pin it in the fuse box. Fuckers. Should have 2 metal pins inside and I only have one. Can't attach pic

I discovered this problem a week after bringing mine home then returned it to the service department for confirmation and they alerted Polaris of the problem. After many phone calls and emails there is a solution. Let me find that email with the fix info to give the service department.

Good Morning Al, when inspecting your unit we found there was an outstanding bulletin for your Rzr from the manufacture. We fixed the wiring issue per this bulletin and verified everything is working correctly now!
