That was the #1 on my list to buy. My problem is I do not have the room for even a 4 X 4 one of them.

 

They make a 2x2 table

 

Yes, but up here in Canada price in total is ridiculous for that. 🙄

All in the Arcdroid seems to be the most cost and fit for my shop and me.

 

Joe what one of the Langmuir systems do you have?

How many years has it been since you got it going?

Anything good or bad about it? Have you done any modifications to it?

I have the original 2x2 and it's ~5yrs old now. I use an Everlast 60 with a machine torch. I use it to cut brackets and misc parts. Con is it does not have torch height control but hasn't really been an issue. If I did more I would upgrade to the new pro with torch height control. Next up on my wish list is their new MR-1 CNC mill

 

I considered an ArcDroid, had one on pre-order for a while then cancelled. The ArcDroid cut volume was just too small to be useful. Nothing wrong with ArcDroid. Youtubers Matts Offroad Recovery and Grind Hard Plumbing both use ArcDroids for small plates.

Discovered Langmuir and went with their Crossfire 2'x3' (approx). Used it for a year then upgraded to Langmuir's XR table (4'x8').

Many times we will lay a sheet of steel on the XR and use it as a worktable when not cutting. Point being, consider replacing your worktable with a plasma table of similar size and using sheet steel to convert it to a worktable.

Another option at least.

 

Tinstar that is an good idea. I will see what will work. I definitely do not have the room for a 4X8 table.

Don’t have room to expand your current shop?

 

I built my own CNC plasma table using plans and parts from JD's Garage on youtube. I did make some changes and have a 36" x 48" table. For everything including the the plasma iv got about $1500 into it.

 

How is that working out for you ?

 

So how long did it take you to make it and how much with out the plasma machine 🤔 ? If you dont mind me asking.

Well Arcdroid is the winner I am ordering one today. I think because the types of jobs and floor space that is my best choice to make.

So I went and bought the Arcdroid today. 🙂

This thing is very nice. Great packaging 📦 👌

I will pick up some more steel tomorrow and build a down draft table/cart.

 

So now that I almost have everything ???

Well almost, just missing the X2 table.

I am incorporating this in the plasma table as well as down draft set up.

 

Well I figured out how 🤔. I am going to build a down draft table/cart here is the base platform.

Well the down draft setup isn't done yet, but she's ready for first run in the morning. Just have to do calibrations first.

I also have do some machine work on the lift table to cut 2x2, 4x4 and 6x6 tubing.

 

Now time to learn it.

 

This is now my most favorite tool in the shop now.

I love it. It is a great addition to my shop.
