Anyone vent their valve cover?

My 1k turbo has alway blown oil past the oil fill cap in the valve cover and make a huge mess. I know it's not loosing much cause I never have to add any but an ounce of oil in the sand and it looks like a gallon! Question...I have a puke tank with the crankcase vent going to it and was wondering if anyone had installed a fitting in the valve cover and ran it to a tank or filter? Works on street cars...any reason not to??

I too had the same problem. There is a very small vent in the cap with a ball and spring. I drilled through all that tapped the plastic and screwed a fitting into it and attached a hose to my catch can. Still makes a little mess but not as bad.
