Long story short, I did some damage and need to turn in a claim. I have had them for 6 years and never used them for anything. Anytime I broke something it wasn't worth turning in and I just fixed it. Just wondering what to except.

Not a problem. I wrecked mine in the woods and called polaris ordered the parts fixed it and drove it out. Once home from my trip a week later I called PRogressive and they sent out an adjuster. I gave him reciepts and some pics of the damage. They paid within a couple days and the adjuster told me if I wanted to take it to a shop to check for any damage I had not found to do so and have the shop call him and he would issue another check. It was a fast and painless process. They did go up on my rate about $15 a month but after 2013 with no claims it dropped back down.

I just went through a claim with them last year, included a bent frame. It was painless with fast payment. I also started the thread about the wrap, that is updated and no issues. There are a lot of myths out there about Progressive, including ownership. Can't believe everything you read...

Thanks. Been watching these posts with interest talking about Progressives politics. You are correct about the myths about Progressive. There are myths about most large successful companies. The amazing part of the story to me is how many people walk around spewing rumor and enuendo as fact based on something they 'heard'. It is the sign of the times. Very few have the notion to actually research something themselves. Hell, it is much easier to just blindly believe what people hear.

I cannot honestly say. I don't remember anything for about two months, the eight months of therapy to get my brain going again. Attorney handled all of it. But I do recall afterwards Progressive's attorney wanting to get written statements from all my friends regarding my riding style.

But yes, I recall now that Progressive's "closed head injury" specialist told our attorney they would pay the max.

And they did total the bike and pay off everything owed.

Just coulda passed on that experience.

Son bent my frame "going slowly into a little puddle, and there was a pebble in it that he didn't see" LOL . They replaced the frame and everything but the wheel and tire on the left front, about the only question was "who was driving".

Thanks guys. I still haven't filed my claim yet I went sideways on the ice trying to stop and bumped my friends can am and he hit the gas and the ice ended and I went on my side giving it road rash and broken fender flares. I was on my passenger side and hanging in there by my seatbelt and when I finally got it unlatched I fell to the passenger seat and bent the gear shifter with my leg. I want my friend to take his in to get it checked but he is fighting me on it. It broke the reflector on the side of the box under the bed. We were moving when we hit but I would feel better if he takes it in or let's me take it in to get looked out. I priced out the parts on mine which it isn't that bad but I need to make sure nothing is bent so I'm going to take it to the dealer and have them look at it. Good thing is I shut it off as soon as I went over.
