I am considering buying a new S LE but have heard of some problems with axles/cv's and would like to hear from people who own and ride them firsthand.

I read that the 2011/2012 axles are not as heavy duty as past model years and have read several threads where the axles are just popping out the diff or breaking in general. Is this a common problem for you guys or are these isolated incedences???

Tell me how your new S is working for you??

Thanks everyone!!

30 miles on mine. Broken rear axle, just farm riding on it.

Dealer took 19 days to fix it, then continued to tell me when i picked it up that i shouldnt have bought a RZR lol

Not super impressed at the moment.

I think it depends on how heavy your foot is, my friends talked down about the axles on my atv with my 30's on it but yet in the 4 yrs of ownership of it I'm yet to break a cv or axle. I drive conservative with my 11" RZR S. 200 miles so far with 30's and a lift and
I havnt had any issues.

I'd rather be riding instead I'm using tapatalk!

25xx on mine, rat bag the hell out of it and have no hint of 4wd or axle issues. Im not scare to hold it pinned, I only have big horns. Just let off before the front end hits with a lot of traction and you'll be good.

My 2012 rzr s le has 60 hrs an 650 miles I have bent one rear axle but I would have to say it was my fault for jumping an holding the gas to the floor. But other than that no problems I love my rzr. Their is a few lemons out their but for the most part I thank rzrs hold up pretty good I mean what else can you drive 50 mph down rough trails an jump an it still hold up an cost less than 15 grand rzrs are a pretty good deal IMO

they are all junk!!! they have major cam problems. everyone i have talked to says if you buy one with more than 1hr on the rzr s at the dealer then they have been letting people drive them to see what they think. with total disregard to engine break in!! and 99 percent of the time the cam and lifters are shot by 10 hrs run time. is the dealer going to try and see if polaris will still cover it?

I have a 2012 S LE, it’s a month old with 100 hard abused miles. Been jumped, raced, rock crawled and not a single issue so far. Except for the fact that I cant help but get dirt and bugs in my teeth from smiling the whole damn time I’m flat footing it up trails that jeeps on 42’s are struggling on.
My brother and dad both have 2012 rzr 900’s and they have had a handful of bent rear axles, which were replaced hastily at the dealership. The one thing that I noticed is my rear axles are the same diameter as the front and rears on the 900, but my front axles are drastically larger in diameter. I’m def. not complaining about it, just not sure why they are so much larger. Seems the rears should be bigger, and the 900 axles should def. be bigger for the extra power. Anyone heard of this before?

They sent pictures into Polaris and I have called them now I'm waiting on a call back I ride with a group that's consist of a lot of rzr's some that have
2,000 miles on them that have had zero problem I'm just hoping Polaris takes care of it don't really want to invest a lot of money in something that I paid $12,000 for 10 months ago

I bought my S a little less than 4 months ago, has roughly 400 miles and I have a bent axle and a broken axle in the rear. All the bushings in my suspension are shot, both tie rods are shot. I have a bent crossmember and a bent a-arm. Plus I had to replace the stock itp tires in the first $100 miles. I ride it kind of hard. I'm picking mine up from the dealership this weekend because they told me the only thing Polaris is gonna cover is the tie rods. Pretty crappy on polaris' part seeing how it's only 4 months old. Still an awesome machine though.

I've got right around 700 miles on my 11' S LE & zero issues, I've been extremely happy with it. I ride the shit out of it, pretty much pinned most of the time, I jump the shit outta it, rock climbing, deep mud, little bit too deep water a few times, wide open for several miles at a time down long dirt roads, plow snow, etc. & haven't had a single issue. I love it. The last 30 miles has been with a 3" SuperATV lift installed, at full droop I have no binding at all.
