When Riding Tackett creek area last week we stopped at overlook. Turned key off it would not shut off so we finished the day riding. Got back to camp turned key off it shut engine down I started and stopped engine several times worked normal. After about 5 minutes all lights came on including dash lights on its on had pull fuel pump fuse kill engine and breaker for lights. I unplugged dongle box everything went back to normal rode 2 more days still no problems, My question is do I need replace this dongle box still got warranty or is there really any need for this box.

Hello all - I’m new to the forum. I bought a 2024 Pro R back in February. Last week my wife got back from a ride and sprayed it off with garden hose. After that it went into Christine mode. After reading forum threads regarding this I called my dealer and asked if they had a TSB or recall for the dongle. All he found was a “team note” describing the exact problem and suggesting a bad dongle. I ordered a new dongle and got it yesterday. Before installing it I decided to try hooking up the battery with the original one still installed. The problem resolved itself. I guess letting it dry for a week is another fix. This is unacceptable for Polaris to install something that isn’t waterproof. Especially when it costs over $350. One service tech suggested not getting that area of the hood wet. Again, unacceptable. This needs to be a recalled item. Thanks everyone.

I have put about 500 miles since unplugging the dongle with no issues. I'm not sure if I am going to replace it unless someone can tell me my it is really needed. From what I can find out its just a tracking device that you can link to polaris app for 1 year free then you pay a fee after that.

I just started a new post on this, didn't think to look for another post. I just dropped mine off at the dealer. Dealer said water gets into the connector and actually shorts out the module, causing permanent damage. It's being covered under 6 month warranty. Dealer also said they've had to replace the module in several units.

I have no idea why thought that area would never get wet, and why it didn't need a sealed connector.

I'm beginning to think this industry is stuck in the 1950's.
