Adding extra lights on rear RZR800S

Hi all.
i know this has been discussed before, and I’ve read most posts, but I am lost to say the least.
I-am wanting to install 2 Additional LED brake and tail lights because my spare covers most of the factory lights.
I realize that Polaris did some weird wiring on the rear, and most say it needs a relay.
I have bought the proper one, a SPDT, tried to follow several different ways to wire, with no luck
the tail lights are not an issue it’s the brake lights that are giving me grief. BTW, it’s a 2010 800S
Any help would be appreciated

Relay not required to add extra lights.
RZR 800 has constant 12v (+) common to both filaments of a dual filament bulb,
a separate constant ground (-) to tail lamp filament,
and a separate switched ground (-) ,from brake switch, to brake lamp filament.

The issue is some LEDS are polarity sensitive, incandescent filaments don't care about polarity.
You need to find non-polarity specific LEDs.

See post #3 in this thread.

Also a good idea to change stock bulbs to LEDs.
The incandescent bulbs are known to melt plastic sockets & tail light housings.

Absolutely. My 570 RZR melted the lenses and cooked/crumbled the bakelite sockets.
It turned out to be easier (and lots cheaper at the time) to change the bulbs. There's a lower wattage version of the bulb that is fine for tail/brake without blinding the person behind you and won't melt the lens/socket. Available any auto parts store.

That’s certainly interesting, and the bulbs themselves are an easy fix, but finding a non polarized LED light could be fun.
It is hard enough getting what you want at most parts stores when it’s something simple and you have all the information It will be fun getting these.
Have not seen lights listed anywhere before as being non polarized, but wasn’t really looking.

An easy fix I thought was getting a momentary switch powered separately and mount at the brake pedal arm.
