So I recently wrecked my front diff in my RZR 900s 3142 Kms on the machine.I’ve done some research and found many things Saying these diffs in the 900s are junk. Also see some guys upgrading to the 1xp diff . My question is the gear ratio the same in the xp as the 900s. Also am having a hard time finding any aftermarket ones out there for the 900s .does anyone know of any at all????

Looks like you need a complete replacement. People have been using a XP1K front diff with minor modifications (mounting washers for alignment, I think) and good results. There are billet sprague available too, in place of the plastic one.

The whole thing is pretty much junk. I have been in the same place twice and eventually went with an xp1k front diff on my 15’ 900. So theres two options:
1: get parts to rebuild a 900 diff with that parts you have left, which even buying a used case, new ring and pinion, sprague, and so on, you will be well into $600 or more. I done that the first time and broke it again within about 2 months.
2: buy a used xp1k front diff from some where, got mine on ebay with warranty. Used small spacer for front two holes, drilled two new holes for rear of diff and it swaps right in. No need to worry about gear ratio etc. still runs same diff to this day.
Now if you want to go the extra step, before installing the xp diff you can rebuild it with billet parts like I did. Sprague, spring retainer, heavy duty pin, and hd plate. Ive run 33’s on it with not a single problem since. The diff to find is a 14’ xp due to slightly wider sprague but virtually any of them will work fine.

The gear ratio is different buttttt... So on the 900s the front wheels actually spin a little bit slower than the rear because of the gearing. On the 1k xp the front wheel actually spin a little bit faster than the rear. The trans gearing ration on the 1k xp and the 900s is the same so if the factory does it so can we. Actually the new 900s use a 1k xp front diff. I did the swap to the 1k xp front diff and have been beating the hell out of it with 1k xp wheels and tires also. Front pulls better with new gear also.

ok, so I know stuff happens, but what size tires, type tires, and what was going on when this happened? mudding, rock climbing?

The East Lake front differentials have been pretty solid so far for the price. We did have a couple that were warrantied but East Lake took care of it with no fuss. An East Lake XP 1000 diff should bolt into a 900S just as easily as the OEM XP 1000 diff would. I had a customer order an East Lake XP 1000 diff last week for his 900S but I haven't heard back anything.

I believe this is the one you want:
