I have. 2009 rzr s 800 the fan cuts off and runs but when I stop if I leave the machine running it will start flashing hot. I can race up engine or pull to and in just a few seconds it is not flashing hot.

Full of water.

Can't seem to find any air in system

Fan works

Thermostat stuck? Impeller Bad?

Any ideals?

A few questions: When you stop and let it idle, does the fan come on and stay on as the RZR heats up? What did you do to determine that there is no air in the cooling system? When you say "full of water" is that exactly what you mean - no antifreeze just water?

Without the answers I can give you a couple of things/suspicions to look into. First off most of the overheating issues have been caused by air in the system, and it is very difficult and time consuming to get it out. Another possibility is the radiator cap may not be holding pressure any longer. The other items you mentioned are also possible causes.

If the fan is spinning as fast as it should, the radiator fins are not clogged with mud and no air in the system, then I would lean toward the water pump not pumping enough, sense you said if you rev it up it would cool off. That sounds like a flow problem. But I would check the thermostat also. Is the fan running when it is flashing hot?

Something else to consider, what rpm is it idling at? If idle is too low, water pump wont be turning fast enough either.

That could be a little low, pretty sure it should idle at 1200.

Did u check close to the thermostat? Only asking since thats where the oem sensor is. If u check very far from there the temps could be alot lower. Especially if the water pump isnt flowing the coolant enough.
