I'm kinda been scratching my head on 27" tire for nearly a month now.. how are peoples 570s reacting with 26"s 27"s or bigger tires? I personally own one but only put 100 miles on it so far trails hills rocks etc in middle tn area... (I work away from home 8 months off/on threw out year) I feel compared sxs with a rzr s on slick hills/wheel spin, there is not much difference (watching) power BUT, the s does have 27" vs the 25"rs of the lil guy.. eventually as soon as its all available (and I'm home to install, lol) piston, cam,p&p head, intake, exaust, clutch kit, and a good tune will b installed, so maybe that's why its a hard choice cause not many know how it will perform punched out.. neways I need wheel speed for long hills in the woods but also need the clearance for the rocky trails here.. am I gna need two sets of wheels /tires?

But I guess after the long post how are 570 with bigger tires stock or (even with mods avail now, clutch kits, program, exhaust) mainly concerned with wheel speed, not crawling threw mud holes lol, thanks for any info guys.. I try to build underdog rigs before someone says maybe you should have got a 900... lol...

Bump --

Anyone else with 26'' Bighorn's or 27'' with stock RZR 570?

I'm still thinking about getting 25'' Bighorns or 26'' but don't want any power loss. Also looking at getting some new springs for added lift.

Thanks

Matt

I have 26 inch Bear Claw HtRs on my 570 that actually measure about 26.5 and they have been fine. I ran them with the stock weights in the primary and lost a little bit of top end and mid range. I replaced the stock 52 primary weights with the 48 High altitude weights and it gained back the midrange and top end. If you go with 27 inch tires do a little clutch mod and you will be fine.

I have 26" ITP Terra Cross and it run's great. Weights were changed to 48's by the dealer and I removed the clutch spacer. Shocks are three notches up all around. Sits much taller than my friends stock 570.

I put 27" ITP 900XCT radials on stock wheels on my '13 570 Trail LE. No clearance problems and no loss of power. My shocks are in the max preload setting but I have done nothing with clutch spacer or weights. I am running 7 psi front and back.

I just put 26" Bighorns on 14" MSA Diesel rims...little stiffer ride that the stock 25/12s. but i back the psi down to 10 all the way around. much better but i think i will drop another 2 psi and try it at 8. love the tires though...

im in same boat I woul like 27s but Im worried if it will put that much more stress on stock parts over the 26s? i found my stock tires suck in snow so new tires maybe comeing faster then i thought LOL

also how much / how hard to do is a clutch mod?

I have the 27" Bighorns/wheels off of a 900XP. Swaybars are unhooked front and rear and they don't rub, but, they are very close. We doo mostly woods riding so I run 4 to 5 psi for puncture resistance and traction. Low speed power for climbing and such does not feel like it has really been affected. Top speed is not what it used to be but I blame that on air pressure. At 10 psi it still hits 50mph no prob. At 5 psi, it gets to 40mph and then it's a slow crawl up and I doubt it would ever reach 50mph.

Our 570 is the base model and doesn't have the engine braking. With the larger tires I notice that the clutch disengages at a higher speed. It poses a little more of an issue but when you tap the gas to engage it is a much smoother transition. Just took a little getting used to.

I also only due woods/trail riding. My front sway bar is gone and I have racertech springs. I was offered 4 27x10x12 mudlite xls tires with only 20 miles on them for 250. I like the idea but do not want to compromise my rzr

I have run 27x12x9s all the way around for 6000 miles (Terrabites). I also have a 2 inch lift and aftermarket springs. I have no regrets. Still hit 56 mph on the top end and in rocks in low gear not an issue. The only thing is the center of gravity is a lot higher than stock.

I have Bandit trail shocks and disconnected my front sway bar. I recently put 27" Tusk Terrabytes all the way around on my 2015. Stock clutch. Gained quite a bit of clearance and I don't notice any power loss. Stayed 50" wide so I can still go on the skinny trails. Loving my current set up.

My 2017 570 S came with 27'' Bighorns and after 100 miles I replaced w/28'' X 14'' Chicanes because I hated everything about the Bighorns except for the incredible traction. The Chicanes were a true 28'' tire but but only lasted 4k so I put General LT tires on that are a true 27'' tire that show almosr zero wear after 2K miles. I will never go back to atv tires and will only put light truck tires on my "S" as I love the handling and they will likely never wear out. Gearing and power have never been an issue with big tires on my stock 570.

I just put Terrabite 28X10X14 on all four corners. Accessories include SuperATV front A-Arms and High Lifter rear A-Arms. No rubbing, not even close. Rides fantastic. Front ground clearance is 17", Rear is 15". I do have the stock shocks ratcheted up. Stock clutch and I don't notice any power loss. Seriously - nothing. Awesome set up for a 570 S. A ton of folks talk about how this tire runs small, but I run mine at 14 psi, and as you can see is at 28.5 inches tall (from the ground) mounted.
