I was cruising down a dirt road last Thursday evening with my son and I got a bunch of clinking from the engine and then it just came to a stop. It would turn over and run a little so I put it in reverse and backed it into a drive way. I called for help and a ride. The real nice farmer said leave it here as long as you need too. When I got back there with my truck and trailer we had to push it up on to the trailer. It wouldn't start.
The next morning I took it to my dealer (Ball Equipment) in Richmond, Michigan. These guys still continue to amaze me. There service department is backed up with At least two weeks wait. They had me pull in the back and performed a leak down test right away. They said the top end looked fine. They noticed it would turn over and run a little. So do to all the noise they said its coming from the lower end of the engine. There guess is a crank shaft bearing, not sure until they split it open. They called me yesterday and told me the engine is out on the bench and would keep me updated.
They also checked to make sure my engine wasn't in the group of 2012 with the bad crank shaft problem. It wasn't, Chris and John did say they would try to get polaris to help out on this but there is no guarantee polaris will do a thing. I'm out of warranty and no extended warranty. I couldn't be happier with my dealer. John and Chris over at Ball Equipment continue to amaze me with there customer service. Thank you guys!!
My machine has 95 hours on it. I'm not real happy about my engine having to be rebuilt with so little hours. I hope polaris will step up and maybe cover some parts or something. I also hope this isn't a sign of problems to come with the 570 engine.
