I'm running rhino 2.0s in front and rhino x300s in rear, 13% reduction in all 3 ranges, assult steering upgrades with fk heims, atv fourplay upper and lower a arms, upgraded drive shaft, atv fourplay trailing arms and radius rods, Keller ball joints, fox rc2.5 shocks set at 15.5" ground clearance with 32s as well as a turbo. So I think the proper things needed to run a bigger tire are in place.
I have been pretty hard on it with 32" roxxzillas on 5+2 headlocks and even with 200hp on tap it's held up extremely well. I will also say that I will only want to be running this 35" tire setup for certain places I go. I will b keeping my 32" combo for WV and I'm wanting a 33 or 35" combo for Tennessee and Kentucky.
My currently 32" roxxzillas on sti hd5 14" bead locks weigh 57.8lbs on the scale. According to maxxis the 35 is only 6 pounds heavier. I found that very interesting that it gained only 6 pounds. So I would b around 62 pounds with the same wheels with a 35. I find that even more interesting because a bunch of guys run the 32" sti rocktanes and that combo is 10+ pounds heavier than the 35" combo I would b running.
I've seen some guys absolutely thrashing a few turbo s 2 and 4 seaters on these 35s but I just don't know how much they have done to make it work. The one 4 seater I have heard is pretty much stock down to the axles.
I also believe that my rs1 has a faster rack ratio and the higher watt p.s. motor already.
As for rubbing with 32s I have inches to spare in every direction with the 5+2 wheels I've been running. I actually just had all of my springs off my shocks checking full bump clearance for some prototype trailing arms so I am about 99% sure rubbing with 35s wouldn't b a issue. No on a regular 2 or 4 seat I bet they would rub the firewall big time. But with a rs1 u have nothing even close to the tires.
