Has anybody put 30" tires on their 900s yet? If so did you have to modify anything for them to clear? Pictures would be great.

I don't have a 900-S yet, but looking at getting one and I've also been hearing you can fit 30" tires on with only shock adjustment. But Jon Crowley of UTV Guide did switched out is 900-S fenders with 900 trail fender caps and shock adjustment for King of the Hammers, because he was having rubbing problems with GBC 30" Mongrels. He is now running and will be running GMZ 30" Kahuna tires for KOH. But I was chatting with a guy on YouTube about this dad's 900-S and they are running 30" STI Roctanes with only shock adjustment, with no other mods. If and when I get me a 900-S I want to try to run either GMZ 30" Kahuna or Polaris 30" Moto Crawlers. But if I like the GBC Dirt Commanders that come stock, I might upgrade to the new 29" or 30" Dirt Commanders that's coming out real soon. I also would like to see y'all pictures of the bigger tires on your 900s.

That's going to be limited with 12" wheels, but there are a few. I just did a simple search on Rocky Mountain for 28"-30" tires that fit 12" wheels. Mostly mud tires, but there are a couple that are not. Depends on your riding preferences and how much you what to spend. There is a 30x10-12 ITP Blackwater, but they are kind of pricey. I hear great things about them, but they run smaller in height than what they say they are. A 30" Blackwater will probably be closer to 29". If I had that kind of money, I would go with Blackwaters. They are non-directional (so you can rotate them), with 1" lugs for mud, but they are an 8 ply tire for more trail use. They should be a great all around tire.

Found a picture of a Blackwater 30x10-14 compared to a Bighorn 27x11-12 on a Maverick forum. The guy went with STI 14" Beadlocks. But that's the size of the 30" Blackwater.

bone stock the day after I bought mine. No adjustments were made, no lift, no trimming anything and no rubbing anywhere. Tires measure 32'' tall and 8.5'' wide on 18'' wheels. And it will spin them over fine, I dug 25-30ft long sets of ruts in my yard 6'' deep when I punched it in low with the stock clutching. The arms on the 900S are 1'' forward and 1'' rearward when compared to the previous 800S model.

One with the cage I built and snorkles done with a full 35Quart pelican cooler in the back. Rear shocks were cranked down 1'' from the factory setting. Still no lift or trimming anything!

Wow, that's impressive. But yours is setup for mudding, technically you are not worry about the suspension bottoming out on jumps or rubbing when flexing. Have you tried jumping your RZR? If so and it did not rub then I'm sold. I wonder if it makes a difference that your tires are 8.5" wide and most 30" DOT tires are 10" wide. I trail ride and mudding is one of the last things I want to do. I like drifting, donuts, jumping, and on the occasion rock crawling. I know it sounds like I need a 1000, but I don't need that kind of HP and I would like to stay in the 60"-62" width. Again, nice RZR!

So I've seen more and more 900-S going with the 29"-32". Some are putting SuperATV front forward arms, some switching the S fenders for trail fenders, some not doing anything but letting out the shocks. When I get my 900-S I would like to run 30" GMZ Kahuna tires. Besides Jon Crowley of UTV Guide, does anyone run the Kahuna tires on their 900-S, or even the 30" Mongrels or Polaris' Moto Crawlers? What did you do to make yours fit without rubbing? Thanks!

RZRbacks, The OP did not specify what type of riding he was doing, simply a will it fit question. If you have specific questions on fitment, do a suspension test by maxing out one arm at a time on compression and stroke and take measurements to see exactly how much room you have all the way around for tire fitment. From the look of the stock arms, I would not do too many jumps with this RZR. They are no where near the quality I would need to trust them making any jumps. Just my .02 My first ride on the tires I have pictured was 25 miles thru the woods, trails and mud holes. Crossed some ditches in a cross pattern to see if anything would bottom out and it didn't even with the tires turned all the way, so that should give some hope without doing your own actual testing. As I said before, my shocks were still factory set very soft for that test ride.

Thanks TJ. Flexing through ditches with no rubbing is a good answer. I don't do any big jumps, they are fairly small, but my 800-S with 28" Mongrels were bottoming out. But I think that second spring they put on the new 900-S shocks are keeping the tire from bottoming out.
I didn't want to buy 30" tires to find out they didn't work on the 900, that's why I am asking everyone.

What are the weight comparisons with these tires, I know bighorns are pretty heavy. Anyone know the weights of these 30" mongrels or kahunas compared to the stock 27" rzr s tires. I leaned towards the 28" Zillas, because they were 4-5lbs lighter per corner then the stock 26" bighorns

I did just look that up. Kahunas are 32lbs mongrels are 33lbs for 30x10-14.. I can only find stocks with 14" wheels on gbc website. Seem to be 30lb rears 23lb fronts.
