I had this happen to me for the first time this weekend. I was out riding octello wells for the first time. I marked where I parked the truck to make sure we could find our way back. About 4 hours in it locked up. I noticed the map stopped working, the dynamix wouldn’t change settings, it said I was going 9 miles per hour no matter how fast I was going, and it said I was in low gear no matter what gear I was in. Luckily I had a backup mapping system to find my way out. What I was really afraid of was turning the machine off, I was afraid if I turned it off and the computer thought it was still in low it might not start because they need to be in park or neutral to start. I just didn’t turn it off the rest of the time we rode. Luckily it was our last days so I loaded it up and headed back home to Missouri. I’m going to go out and play with it tomorrow.

 

Did you try software update. That is what was suggested to me.

 

No I haven’t, I just got back yesterday. I’m going out today and play with it . On mine when I did finally turn it off when I had it on the trailer, I tried starting it back up and it acted normal. Before I do anything I want to go back in and see if itsaved my marked waypoint. If it did I at least will feel a bit better knowing that if I would have shut it off and turned it back on my waypoint was still there and I could have gotten back home

 

Mine did it every time I went to mark a waypoint or create a ride or track. First indication it was happening was it would not keep following me on the screen. After a few miles I would not be on my screen and id have to touch the center screen button to get be back to center. Then it would do it again next time I marked or created.

 

little off topic but how long was the drive from Mo to cali?

 

From where I’m at south of St Louis it took 24 hours . 2 days out, 3 days riding, 2 days back. Every time I do one of these trips I say never again, but then one of my friends talk me into it I drive a dodge dually, pulled a 24 foot enclosed trailer, got 9 miles to the gallon. 1414 miles divided by 9 = 157 gallons x 2.75 a gallon = 432 dollars one way. I split that with my friend so it turned out to be 432 $ each for there and back

 

On a good day I get 8 mpg towing shudder to think what the gas alone would cost....

 

Have the same issue with my 2020 pro XP, it's so intermittent that I'm sure the dealer will say "No Problem Found", very frustrating. It seems that if I turn off the machine for more than 15 minutes it'll work fine for 10 hours give or take. It seems to be a problem when I start doing too much with it like it gets overwhelmed and just locks up.
