Can get 2018 Dynamix for 23k otd or 2019 Turbo for 20k otd, what are your opinions?

Donny,

50/50

The suspension on the Dynamix is truely awesome with a re-spring and re-valve. I think it is the best suspension I have ever driven with the addition of my long travel on it.

The 2019 Turbo's look really cool though...and I like the updated instrument cluster.

So I guess it comes down to looks...or performance.

I chose suspension performance...and will add a Glazcraft dash next winter if I still feel inclined.

I have a 16 XPT with stage 4 Shock Therapy and a 18 Turbo S with dynamix. I think the Shock Therapy suspension rides better than the dynamix but you can’t just switch the ride comfort with a dash switch like the dynamix. So for the money I would go for the Turbo and spend the difference in savings on a Shock Therapy stage 4 specifically tuned for me by Ernie. Unless of course you just like pushing buttons.

So are you comparing a custom re-sprung and re-valved suspension system to the stock dynamix system?

If you are...then I would agree that the modded suspension is better than the stock dynamix suspension. Having them both re-sprung and re-valved by Shock Therapy...I think you would find that the dynamix car both out handles and is better suspended everywhere.

Chris,
I agree with you, a Shock Therapy suspension is better than stock DYNAMIX. OP wanted to know if he should get a turbo or DYNAMIX with a $3k difference in price. I was just suggesting to get the Turbo and do the Shock Therapy upgrade. OTD price would be a wash then but he would then have a Turbo. More power and better ride....same price.

I think the 18 Dynamix he is referring to is the Turbo

I just had to make this same decision a week ago. I went to the dealership to look at a 2019 turbo in titanium. They also had a 2019 turbo LE but it was still in the crate. When I got there I noticed they had a 2018 turbo Dynamix. Side by side the 2019 just looks so much more bad a**. But I started playing with the Dynamix and even took it for a ride on their “track” which was just a dirt path with a couple berns and a couple whoop sections. I fell in love with the suspension and with a re spring it will be even better. So I brought the Dynamix home. I also got a killer deal on it which help make my decision. I would go Dynamix all day. It’s just money, you can always make more.

I don't care how much modding you do to your shocks, they will never compare to the ability to adjust the stiffness on the fly via Dynamix. Yes, you may have a better set up for a particular situation, but when you have varying terrain during a ride Dynamix can't be beat. IMHO after a 1000 miles.

Can you say Jealous. I'm no expert in suspension and have to believe the pros as far as the springs go, but most complaints stem from the lack of plushness in the comfort setting. I would have to agree. However, as I said, there is no amount of modding that will allow you to adjust the stiffness of the ride on the fly. In addition, the mere fact that the system will compensate for the different driving inputs. Can't be beat at this time and worth the extra dough.
