What do you guys think of this?

Any competition with the RZR?

I wish it was a 1000, love the reliability factor associated with Yamaha.

60.6" wide, not 50". Kind of odd to me, it wont compete with a Rzr 900 I'm afraid. Maybe the 570 though.

It appears it is some what targeted at 570, it is a single cylinder but of larger cc...but probably slower than 570 top end. Has adjustable shocks but only 10 inches of travel at 60 inches???? same wheel travel as 570 bur 570 50 inches wide.Price pointed close to 900 trail rzr , which is in another planet perfomance wise. I wonder if it is too little too late and price pointed high compared to other makes.

I want to know what the exact HP ratings are for the new DOHC 708cc Motor.

I can't tell if its fuel injected or not??

Lawsuit is history , that was then and this is now, it is 2015. It is a 60 inch class machine that I highly doubt will be faster than a 50 inch 570 or trailcat . has no more wheel travel than a 50 and that is a HUGE handicap for consumer. Near as I see it the 50's will go where it can't and out perform it where it can go, and everyone else's 60 incher will out perform it with out even trying. No power and no suspension travel for it's width at 12,500 plus ?

If your company lost millions of dollars, it wouldn't be history. Don't understate what that plus potential sales losses did to them. This is a small step towards getting back into a market they have been very cautious about.
This model competes with the other manufacturers models in the same class, that's what it is designed to do.

I think it is a close cross between the Rzr and Ranger, kind of like the old Rhino was. It doesn't lean too hard either way.

Which is unfortunate, I was hoping from something more reliable than the 1000XP is proving to be, but that could compete with the big dog 1000's.

Maybe next year....

To little to late. They are behind the curve and at this point its doubtful that they will ever compete in the sport SxS market segment. This is a dual use machine that really doesn't compare or compete with offerings from either Polaris or Can-Am. Its main target is going to be Honda and Arctic Cat, and dare I even say John Deere for the dual use market. It wont be able to compete in a strait up Utility Market against a Ranger or even a Can-Am.

Definitely not a duner! It's in the category of pioneer, trail cat and 570.
With the features and options it could be a utility and trail machine, similar to the teryx.

A lot of fun being made of this machine, which is all fine and good. I for one am really pulling for Yamaha on this one. Always been a big fan of their products for the reliability factor alone, not to mention overall good design. Plus, what harm could come from one more quality product to compete with our beloved RZR's? Someone needs to step into the ring that will push Polaris forward in terms of quality and reliability. Yes, my 2015 900 with a mere 200 miles on it left me stranded on the trail over the weekend when the throttle mysteriously stopped working. If Yamaha sets their mind to it, I have little doubt they could be pushing Polaris and Can-Am hard in the sport market within a few short years.

I think that it looks like a fun machine - if you aren't trying to compare it to the RZR or XP. It's obviously targeting trail riders who need to get through some tough places, and they worked on the suspension and overall feel of the Wolverine to make it a comfortable but fun ride for hunters/trail riders, etc. Yamaha has a great 4-wheel drive system, so if I need to go somewhere kind of gnarly, I'd be happiest in a Yamaha.
