The tires also looked like a better trail design vs the xct that came on mine , aggressive deeper tread but closer together , my xct's only lasted about 600 miles before the rears were shot riding at HM . I deliberately rode both of ours on a decent little trail by my house 2 days before the trial . The trial was held at an off road park that has heavy sand and rocks (it was on silica sand rd) . I was able to make 2 laps in the 900S and the second lap I really tried to maximize the machine . I would let our leader get a little ahead of me and then really push it in corners and whoops , the 800S bottomed very quickly and hard in the whoop section and I had to let off , I stayed in it until I had to let off for a corner with the 900 and it did bottom but it was a gentle thud , not a teeth rattler. The power/suspension is matched pretty well and felt pretty nimble. Also we had 2+ inches of rain the previous day and I hit a couple deep water holes hard testing the waterproofing - it was , I wasn't ..

Sounds great,I'm ready to retire my old 800s she's been a good one but I'm ready for more HP(and a new toy)
Time too start calling dealers around me too see when there going too have them in stock ?

polaris has only one awd system I am aware of. sounds like eps, seat slider, and a steering wheel upgrade for $1,800

With the PS models, you get the HP AWD, driver's side seat slider, and upgraded steering wheel.

The new High Performance AWD seamlessly engages both front wheels with full torque to pull the vehicle over washboards and whoops, and maintain the line all the way through corners.

Timmi look at the sportsman 1000 and the sportsman 570sp in the description on the polaris website. Mentions of some kind of new close ratio awd system for better control.

Heres what it says for sportsman .

HIGH PERFORMANCE CLOSE RATIO ON-DEMAND AWD

The best just got better, the high-performance close ratio AWD system engages all four tires faster than ever when you need more traction. Works with the EPS system to provide Sportsman signature handling and reverts back to 2WD when you’re back on solid ground.

But still i dont see 1800$ yet difference. Im the only driver so seat slider isnt a big deal. 95% of all my riding is in 2wd so a better awd system isnt needed. The power steering would be a nice upgrade but could do it myself for way cheaper.

Well that marks one more difference off the list. So looks like now its more color choices, eps, and a possible better awd system. I do remember frank mentioning that the 50" 900 models DO NOT have slider bases i guess its good that all the s model do include it.

ok I was wondering where that quote came from, thanks! maybe it's like the can am qe system

Guess we all are still wondering what the differences are but it I do see that the high-performance close ratio AWD system comes with the RZR S EPS machine. So with that and EPS and better color options I can see that being where the $1800 increase comes from over the non-EPS model.

I want to see every color in person before I decide which one I want.

Goto Polaris website for 2015 RZR S EPS Overview and middle way down the page under Agility Features you will see where it mentions the high-performance close ratio AWD system. Do the same for the NON-EPS and you will see where it says True on demand AWD.

I think the puzzle is solved!!!!

Oh, I had to do this on my phone, computer wouldnt show the non-eps model.

Ok I see what you're talking about now, but they show the same image short video for the base model... Very confusing. I just checked the base model 50" trail versions and they do the same thing, the Eps models have the high performane and the base doesn't. I hope it's not too big of a difference because I really like the white machine better, price-wise and color-wise.

And because I just put a deposit on mine today :)

Almost seems like a marketing tactic to get you to set up to more expensive model. I don't mind base model. The interactive display looks cool but not needed for me

Sorry to ask this question. Researching to get my first rzr. Can you stay in 2nd all the time and have fun sliding around with either 900 models or is the awd system gonna cut in automatically and take away my fun.. i would like to have the choice
