2015 RZR S 900, difference between EPS and Non-EPS

Does anyone know what else is different between EPS and Non-EPS 900S other than EPS?? That is almost a $2k price difference between the two models. Shocks look to be the same, is it the color combo and EPS the only thing different between the two?

Thanks

Lots of confusion on this. The EPS versions only list the Digital Display, NOT the Interactive display, which has the bluetooth and GPS system. NO turf Mode, NO EBS, and NO LED headlights. So the $2K difference, at least the way I am reading it, only includes EPS, and of course the long travel 60" appropriate A Arms and axles. Hmmmmm.

At this point, the specs aren't comparing apples to apples as far as the words are concerned. "Aggressive Styling" is listed for one model, but not the other. Yet they have the same body panels. Maybe we are missing something on the side by side comparison lists, but $2K difference for graphics and EPS?
I installed one of the very first aftermarket EPS units on my RZR in 2010, and I won't own or drive another machine without it.
Maybe Polaris will tweak their site to reveal more differences between the 2 models.

If that is truly the only difference then their is no way that is worth $2000 IMO.

I personally don't really like the eps anyway, i think it makes the steering wheel too light.
but i do like the eps red graphics haha! figures...

If your running strictly rocks or something i could see eps being a must have because it is all low speed low gear driving which is when steering is the hardest and it helps remove the hard jerks and bumps from the steering wheel when the tire grabs or bounces off rocks or ruts and stuff.

I agree with the OP the only thing you are getting for 2K is different color/graphics and EPS. So if you can turn a wrench aftermarket is definitely cheaper. The only models that have the digital display from factory are the 900XC and the XP1K Desert Edition and they are both interactive. If you have never had EPS you can live without it if you have had EPS then you already know it's the only way to go.

With the PS models, you get the HP AWD, driver's side seat slider, and upgraded steering wheel.

The new High Performance AWD seamlessly engages both front wheels with full torque to pull the vehicle over washboards and whoops, and maintain the line all the way through corners.

polaris has only one awd system I am aware of. sounds like eps, seat slider, and a steering wheel upgrade for $1,800

The tires also looked like a better trail design vs the xct that came on mine , aggressive deeper tread but closer together , my xct's only lasted about 600 miles before the rears were shot riding at HM . I deliberately rode both of ours on a decent little trail by my house 2 days before the trial . The trial was held at an off road park that has heavy sand and rocks (it was on silica sand rd) . I was able to make 2 laps in the 900S and the second lap I really tried to maximize the machine . I would let our leader get a little ahead of me and then really push it in corners and whoops , the 800S bottomed very quickly and hard in the whoop section and I had to let off , I stayed in it until I had to let off for a corner with the 900 and it did bottom but it was a gentle thud , not a teeth rattler. The power/suspension is matched pretty well and felt pretty nimble. Also we had 2+ inches of rain the previous day and I hit a couple deep water holes hard testing the waterproofing - it was , I wasn't ..

Timmi look at the sportsman 1000 and the sportsman 570sp in the description on the polaris website. Mentions of some kind of new close ratio awd system for better control.

Heres what it says for sportsman .

HIGH PERFORMANCE CLOSE RATIO ON-DEMAND AWD

The best just got better, the high-performance close ratio AWD system engages all four tires faster than ever when you need more traction. Works with the EPS system to provide Sportsman signature handling and reverts back to 2WD when you’re back on solid ground.

Guess we all are still wondering what the differences are but it I do see that the high-performance close ratio AWD system comes with the RZR S EPS machine. So with that and EPS and better color options I can see that being where the $1800 increase comes from over the non-EPS model.

I want to see every color in person before I decide which one I want.
