Given the 28” tires and the fact the speedo will no off because it’s not calibrated for 28”. I’d say that’s about right. I only get a couple of miles faster on my 800 with 26” tires

 

Gps shows I’m topping out at 55 buddy has a 13 800 on 26 tops out 68mph at 6500rpm

 

Check throttle cable adjustment. It can make a huge difference.

 

Checked throttle cable adjusted it to have 1/8” free ply still can’t get passes 5500rpm 45/50mph

 

Rev limiter kicks in at 6500 rpm so most clutch tuners target around 6200-6300 rpm. If you have stock clutching it is not matching your tires and wheels which are heavier than stock. To correct for this, you would need to go with lighter clutch flyweights or go with a stiffer primary clutch spring. Although you could buy separate components, you are better off buying an adjustable kit from a reputable company.

 

Would at bigger tires n wheels affect not hitting max rpm? I can get 5600rpm down hill but can’t get to 6200rpm no matter what

 

A fuel tuner for an 800 would not give you a performance increase like it does for the 900's & 1000's. It would simply be used to increase or decrease fueling and should only be used if something else has changed such as a turbo, or big bore or high flow exhaust etc.

That said, if you were to increase your HP you would rev more. And there are situations where the added HP may put you over the 6500 rev limit. For example a turbo would do this and you would need to add weight to your clutch flyweights to bring the RPM's down back into safe range.

If you have a stock clutch with those bigger tires, an adjustable kit will increase your performance as it gets your RPM's back into a better power range. It is your best bang for the buck.

The Dalton kit is probably the most popular. I've not used him but Todd at Hunterworks is a vendor on here and has a reputation for great customer support of the products he sells.
