I'm looking to replace the current Goodyear RawHide MT/R 26" tires on my 2008 Polaris RZR 50", these are a very light tire compared to todays tires. I've been happy with how the Goodyear's handle being a 4ply tireand yes they have been on the RZR since new in 2008. I'm considering, ITP Blackwater Evolution's, GBC Grim Repear' s and Interco Reptiles in 27x9x14 and 27x11x14. I'm happy with how the existing tires handle, we see all kinds of terrain from gravel roads, loose sand, mud, water, shale, wooded trails. I'm not looking to replace the wheels. So far the ITP's are tops on my list for 2 reasons, US Made and a better rim guard from what I can tell.

Which tire do you recommend and why, or something completely different?
6ply vs 8ply?

I'm a GBC fan. Been running them on my sport quads for years. Recently purchased a used set of 8 ply Dirt Commanders for the rzr. The 10 ply Mongrels is what I really wanted but couldn't find a set without out going to 10" up front. GBC also makes a big horn clone, dirt tamers.

One of my machines had the same Goodyears as yours. My buddy I bought it from gave me his General take-offs, which are maxis coronado 27", 9's and 11's x14 so they worked perfectly. A little heavier than the Rawhides, but ride nice at 10 psi. I found another set like new and put them on my other machine. I don't know anything about the others you mentioned, sorry.

ITP Terra Claw's for the win. They only added 22lbs total over the old tires, they measure just a little over 27" with 12 psi. I expect to have to lower the pressure. They climbed that rock like it wasn't there, I also have some large logs that weren't an issue for them.
