17 Turbo Broke Axle. Polaris Wont Warranty?

17 Turbo broke the LR axle at the outside joint. Polaris said no warranty because of where it broke?? WTH? Because of where it broke, I didn't know they were designed to break in a certain area. Machine has dirt tires, was running 2wd in the sand dunes. This is my fourth RZR (2 2014 XP1000's, 16XPT and a 17XPT. All STOCK). I broke a axle on a 16 Turbo, also dirt tires and running 2wd in the sand dunes and they warrantied it no questions asked. What gives?

I have never ran anything but stock tires and wheels in the sand. I don't feel the need for paddle tires. Both times I've broken a axle have been from approaching a short (12'-15') dune that the approach is somewhat steep (as in you wouldn't hit at high spped) mash the throttle at the bottom and pop off the top of the dune. They both broke right at the base of the dune.
I'm not waiting for Polaris to warranty it, I just think its bullshit they wont. I already have another axle on its way.

I did have one break on an 800s that was probably not my fault.

But recently we were at Durhamtown and three machines broke 5 axles in a day and a half. D'town is unique, lots of speed and lots of air.

So you can get a pair of axles on ebay for about $120 and after a practice round or two you can change one out in under 30 minutes.

That or bring it back to popo, argue about a crappy ass warranty, and wait two weeks for your ride back. If they don't cover it you can pay $250 for their oem repair.

axles on a Turbo are consumable items, just the way it is!

Warranty is not free. We all pay for it in the price of the unit. How much more do you want to pay for others breakage? We have seen the cost of insurance skyrocket because of lead foot users tearing a machine apart and claiming it in insurance. My feelings, if you break it, you should be the one paying to fix it. Not me.

Trust me I paid extra $1200 for RPM Warranty for extra 5 years and they said bumper to bumper even includes WEAR items, brake pads, blown belts etc with a $100.00 deductible so when the sales man says EVERYTHING is covered you bet I'm gonna bitch when they try and say its not covered !!!!!
