Adherence to 50" at Wayne Nat. Forest

What have the experiences been at Wayne Nat. Forest so far? I ride dirt bikes, ATV's, but have not seen SxS's at Wayne. Rangers are far and few between but I have had my Raptor measured before. Is Wayne an option for RZR owners in the Midwest? Todd in cincy

IT’S MY UNDERSTANDING – THE rzr IS CLASSIFIED AS A atv WITH ITS 50” WIDTH ( NO Mods)

Re: Adherence to 50" at Wayne Nat. Forest

I called Ironton Ohio ranger station in Aug to get info on RZR .. Officer Wayne Albright retired. Worked with him as trail keeper in early 90's. Family cleaned Pine Creek System only at night...we didn't want to bother folks in day light. Great at night ...deer was so close could almost touch them. Oh sorry dreaming of wonderful trails ! They said ok on RZR keep it 50" ...now have heard hard on small bridge...Cage hitting things. But if we keep them stock and use our heads...keep on RZRing !! [I] didn't like Monday creek..to much like race day at Indy !!LOL But son loved that.. I'm was old fart on Banshee and liked to play in old Fart way..LOL Call Ironton office they cover Hanging Rock and Pine Creek trail Systems. Or check web site: Wayne National USDA Forest Service - Comment Form Wow long site link ..LOL Just now checked that site...used to state 48" now 50" or under That is the kicker here or under. Keep them stock.... bought mine with ugly steel wheels just for that reason. Hope they don't go to box checks..where they put unit into steel box frame and nothing can be outside of box. Side bars could become trouble ...not wheel width. But nothing stated so far on boxing. Heard rumors like always...Wayne is GREAT. Rode near Gilbert Wva when married to ex from that area...but that's a story in past. When Hatfield was just a dream and cops still hunted for ATV's on illegal trails. LOL Lets ride Ohio !!

Re: Adherence to 50" at Wayne Nat. Forest

Ok what happened to link ? hate this... not link i typed ?
forgot ...RZR is like two up ATV ...think that both driver and rider must get Wayne pass...haven't got one since 98. They used to look like small lic plate then. With two riding RZR cost would be same ; as , two ATV's. Might check first I might be wrong. I can't seem to list links right..most know anyway how to find site. Thanks Old fart dreaming of riding Pine creek once more !

If I installed Rockslider nerf bars, and Crusher wheels,
I can't ride the trails?

Sitrep, only ex military would have a call sign like that. Where did you serve? That's exactly the kind of information that I was looking for concerning Wayne NF. If you go aftermarket and mount anything on the RZR, you do run the risk of exceeding 50". It doesn't matter what the vehicle designation is. When I head to Hatfield McCoy, Gilbert is where I head to as well. Very appreciative of any funds spent in their community and a joy to ride there. BTW retired USN. Todd

Re: Adherence to 50" at Wayne Nat. Forest

Todd, T.C. ( tank commander for none Mil-types ) M-48 to M60 A-3 out just as M-1 came into service. So old remember when dirt was made ! LOL Yes not sure if RZR will be allowed on ATV trails forever ? But will enjoy RZR any where I can ride...Since had heart attack last 11/14/06 wife said no more Banshee ! Live near Maumee State riding area...about 40 miles south. Maumee is much like Mich in that it's SAND ! Wow folks ride there and sand gets into everything. Grease seals are made to hold grease in ...water out...well sand is round and rolls in under seals. Just more work..on up keep ..LOL They check for State sticker only ..heck have been there and had yard karts with Ohio sticker running down trail . LOL now that's funny to see..old folks riding Yard karts. Wait ....that could be me 5 years !!! Are very mod -type of Karts ..they move really well too. Well Todd when we get RZR titled...all part installed...get some miles on RZR ...might try Wayne Pine creek . Then Gillbert trails...wish could ride old haul road there....boy loved to ride Banshee on haul roads !!! Just ride safe and enjoy life...

SitrepRZR
Did you get your situation with your RZR title worked out? The last we talked to you, you were giving up on getting that title and selling the machine.

Re: Adherence to 50" at Wayne Nat. Forest

To answer both Todd And RHarrah Have gotten MSO from lien holder today. Since Fathers passing have been getting His estate taken care of and just now had time to get to RZR problem. Well after paying lawyer 500 dollars for nothing ...we just stopped fighting over title...just wanted MSO so we could go from there. Well just went to Putnam county title office and WOW....now they have call into state ....can't get titled... only dealer can do that...had MSO...pay off...but noooooooooooo RZR is Ranger farm equipment...not allowed to title. Then title dept called state...WOW...now they say dealership should have titled the RZR ! Todd if I could... would call for " Broken Arrow " !! If and when we get this RZR titled ...will trade this damn thing in on 2 quads !! Wife hates the RZR and polaris now! She wants to drive it into deep 14' part of our river ! Yes we are very biter !! Who wouldn't at this point and time...paid 14500 for loaded RZR and dealer took 5 months to get all the add ons and still missing spare tire holder ! 99% still in box's only roof...rock sliders on RZR ...heck plow didn't come in till after x-mass !! bought RZR in Aug 2007 ...think could get everything by x-mass !! So Todd still can get together and ride just not ever going to own Polaris...or UTV ever !!!! Quads or nothing !!! 3.7 miles on RZR and still can't ride!! Without trail sticker..title...even Insurance on our own land is doubtful....heck if we wanted farm tractor would have bought John Deere !! What ever happens Please tell everyone that You know...don't buy at American Power Sports Findlay,Ohio !! Don't want anyone else to go through what we have been through !! Yes ..RZR is very good for what it was designed for ...even if one must spend 1000 to fix every flaw that has come forth in this forum and PRCforum...that's the price to play !! But not this trouble !!! So to answer...selling ..no trade and take bath on it and pay cash from now on!! If someone knows of person looking for RZR will sell for 12000 with everything...that's what trade in is. Wife wants this Polaris GONE !! The commander has spoken !! Wife told me today...she wants to ride like before....but not in RZR...rhino is out too...no more UTV !! At least there is light in end of tunnel....have till april when trails open ..to find quads...dang it I want my Banshee back or better yet my QUADZILLA !! LOL Now everyone knows what last post was about...the fight goes on with the RZR that is in the " Bermuda Triangle " Please don't add post that need to go to other DMV... can get ohio APV sticker with MSO..no ...tried today...Ohio is on this ...Putnam was told by head of State of Ohio DMV to make copy of MSO and fax it to them. Ohio Head DMV (Columbus) has copy of MSO and will get baack to US and Putnam county DMV. If only American Power sports would have done it right the first time !! The only worry now is that don't have to give MSO back to American Power Sports to have them title RZR ![ trust issue there] Did the sales tax get paid by American Power Sport to state of Ohio ? Shows on sales contract which I signed ...was on total..850 dollars . So that could be next thing have to cover..pay sales tax twice !! Anyone know of outsatnding lawyer that deals with this type of problem ? if so please contact us ..before I lose happy home !! Todd : I'm hit.. track is off...need air cover !!

todays date : 01/10/2008
everything happened about title or MSO on this date in this post

about to change ahndle to shellrepRZR !!
Unhappy in Putnam county

We were looking forward to riding with them also. I guess they will have to bring some other machine to ride on now.
