I'm sure for the sake of reducing costs of manufacturing Polaris has chosen to use 20AWG low strand count wiring in their machines and it breaks and they know about and still haven't fixed the problem. Here is their admission of guilt.
Wire size will not eliminate the vibration and corrosion from moisture exposure these wires are subjected to. Some of the water I ride through Stains the plastic to where I have to wash it twice and then wipe it down afterwards. I can imagine what that crap does to wiring connections
