Polaris does have a update for the clutch.

 

Yah, but from what I've seen it is basically the same fix as the 3P shims.
If the 3P shims doesn't fix the rattling noise, how would the Popo fix?

 

Mine started rattling after in installed the 3p shims and new sliders. In think it's the actual shims themselves causing some of the noise

 

Here is where I think the rattle comes from. When you idle your belt is slack and the secondary gets to do it's thing. Perfectly normal LOL

in...i have 2 miles on mine and having that engage and disengage clunk slap...is that how it starts? or is that how it is? Whats long term? it being brand new...whats polaris dealer going to do?

 

It's only going to get worse. Work with your dealer. Symptoms are clutch sticking and killing the engine when you stop. The grab I believe is the clutch sticking and then grabbing at high RPM especially noticeable in reverse. There is a service Advisory ZSA-16-02 to add wear shims and increase airflow inlet area.

 

I get pretty loud rattle and clanking at idle too. Seems to have increased in sounds after my shims as well.
Also get some clunking when taking off. Everybody tells me it is normal and i have about 150 miles on it with out any issues. :ride:

 

It might not be catastrophic, but it sure as hell isn't normal.

 

Mine does the same thing. Brand new belt made the noise go away
