I'm looking at upgrading to 32" mongrels soon and was curious as to what size wheel you guys are running on 32's. I have a friend with 32's on his General and the 14" wheel looks a little small to me for a tire that large. Any pics or info on going bigger than a 14" wheel? Thanks

Keep in mind the larger the wheel the greater risk of having rock and debris get lodged between the rim and caliper etc. Ive seen it happen a few times even running 14's. My buddy had a rock bend his front caliper bad enough the outer pad fell off somewhere on the trail.

I am running 14" wheels on 30's and several of my friends are running 14's on 32's. You get a little more cushion from the sidewall flex if you run a smaller diameter rim as well.

That is actually something that had not crossed my mind at all. Thanks for the heads up on that. I've ran 14's on every RZR that i've owned so far without any issues but never on a tire larger than a 30. I'm thinking 32's on 15's may be the best bet for me. I would like a 32 on 16" wheel but there's just not a lot of tires out there for that package.

They aren't mongrels but they are 32's with 14" wheels

Already have the SuperATV High Clearance Forward offset A-Arms in the mail. 32's will definitely be functional. Also plan on a lift soon as well, just have to see how these 32's look on the stock suspension to decide how much lift I want to go with. It won't be riding like a turd. Haha.

I would just get the plus a-arms and get some heavier springs to increase your ride height some over stock. I am not a fan of lift kits. Most of them just seem to move the upper shock mount down which is pretty cheesy. You can easily gain a couple inches of ride height with and Eibach Stage 3 spring kit.

I run 32" Pro Armor Crawler XG's on my RZR XP 4 1000. I use 14" MSA M-16 Bead lock wheels on mine. No lift with stock front springs and factory settings. No issues rubbing unless im at full droop or compression with the wheel cranked one way or the other.

As far as a lift, if you dont "need" it for functionality you will get a better ride leaving it off. If you need it just for clearance then no more than 3". I had a 3" lift and its sitting on the shelf after 1 ride. The ride quality plain sucked after putting the lift on.

The lift kit only changes your static ride height. Your wheel travel is still the same.

Unless you change your wheel travel, forward position, turning radius, or wheel backspace youre still going to rub. Look at your suspension and examine how it really works and how a lift kit will not solve rubbing.

On the kits that I have seen, it moves the upper shock mount down..... It doesn't just change where you ride in the stroke. When the shock is fully compressed the the tire won't get nearly as close to rubbing as it does without the lift so it will help with rubbing but it completely changes the geometry. Lift kits are a really stupid idea.

I think this picture has 30s, soon after I changed to 32s.
I'm running 15" wheels and also have the control arms that push the front wheels forward a couple inches.
I get slight rubbing on back of the fender at full lock/stuff and a little on the top of the fender flares.

Love it with the 32's.

Any lift kit that changes the geometry is going to affect the ride. I ran the highlifter kit pictured earlier on a 2014 XP41000 and it rode like $hit afterwards. Harsh ride, bad roll, loose in corners. I took some preload out of the springs which helped some but then I lost the clearance I gained. Great kit for tire clearance and the mud which it was designed for but the ride manners on the trail were terrible.

I am really thinking strongly of upgrading to 32" Pro Armor crawlers. I have a Racertech lift and love it!! My question is this. Do I need to do clutch work as well or can I leave it stock?

Whether you need clutch work or not depends on how performance oriented you are. If you are just a mellow trail rider then no, you probably won't need to mess with the clutch. If you want the most performance possible, you are leaving a lot on the table by running 32s and stock clutching. I would call Sparks or Airdam and have them put together a custom kit for your RZR/application.
