Yes it is normal. Just drive it

You will drive yourself crazy trying to chase down every squeak, rattle and clunk the machine will form. Pull the cover off the clutch every few hundred miles and blast it really good with and air compressor. The belt grit and dust is what kills the clutches....
When the machine suspension starts squeaking, and it will. Pull each shock off the machine. There are eyelets (uniballs) at the top and bottom of each shock. Take the spacers off and the O rings. Ram grease down into the ball as best you can, and put it back together leaving all the grease in there. When you wash the machine stay away from the shock pivot points so you don't wash the grease out of them.
Other than that change the air filter and oil per the owners manual and you're good to go! Drive it and have fun.
