Hello,

I live in Dallas and have a rare 4 day weekend coming up. I don't want to spend two days driving, but wouldn't mind ~8 hours to get there.

I truly enjoy forests, rivers, mountains, but am drawing a blank of where I should head that has some good trails to ride. Would camp, so amenities are less of a concern. Ozarks? Ouachita National Forest? Santa Fe area?

Wolfpen Gap in Mena Ar is a decent place and it's close to you, but our favorite place that is fairly close is Mulberry Mountain outside of Ozark Ar. The trails are pretty amazing and it's really pretty country.

Mulberry mountain or Mack's Pines in Arkansas. You'll need a good GPS for Mack's Pines. Not sure what trail conditions will be with all the rain they have recieved lately.

Thanks for the thoughts!

I am going to head to Arkansas and the Ouachita / Ozark Forests from these recommendations.
