You could also try to reserve a spot at the blm camp grounds at egin lake. I'm not certain how far out you'd need to make reservations there though. That puts you right at the start of the big stuff. The spots are not as nice though as what you would get at SandHills.

Some forum members have been meeting up there for the 4th of July each year.

We stayed at Sand Hills Resort. full hook ups, but it is on the very east end of the dunes.

Idaho Dunes RV Park is closer to the big dunes, but you have to take a small trail to go in and out.

check this out: St. Anthony Sand Dune Guide

:ride:
Are the dunes smaller on the east side? Mary dosen't like the big stuff.

Yes they are,,, but you have to watch out for lava. go over the wrong dune and you are driving on rocks.

We have stayed at Sand Hills several times, but I think any of the places are fine.
Even though I pay it, SH is too expensive in my opinion. I might stay somewhere else because of cost next trip. Unless they lower their prices a bit-

We have a great time everytime we go! Next St. Anthony's trip will be with the RZR!!! Cant wait!

Have FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
